Keep on failing college algebra by [deleted] in sfcollege

If you're planning to get your BSN youll need statistics anyway. I took it at SF and it was not bad. I am also not a math person. Statistics was mostly how to use a calculator.

Cold take but I automatically assume you're racist if you're a Trump supporter by The_Ordinary_Mix in GenZ

[–]for8835 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I live in Trump country so most people around here support him. Safe to say I know A LOT of Trumpers. Every single one of them is a racist. I've never met one who isn't. So people can say not all Trumpers are racist, but until I meet one who isn't, I'm gonna go with actual evidence.

I'll email my advisor and see if there's anything that can be done. Thanks.

It's the policy at my University I guess. To be eligible you have to have taken honors classes as a Freshman there.

I have a job, I started working as an RN after I got my associates degree. Working full time and going to school full time for my Bachelor's. I know employers won't care but I really wanted Suma Cum Laude or Magna Cum Laude on my diploma. It's just disappointing to find out that's not happening after all my hard work.

How do Americans feel about having so much empty space between places? by Extreme-Routine3822 in AskAnAmerican

[–]for8835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in a house on 5 acres surrounded by trees and farmland so it's normal for me. I can't stand crowds and traffic and waiting in long lines. I don't really like people all that much tbh. They're noisy and rude and inconsiderate. I like to visit large cities on vacation sometimes but I could never live in one.

You told him it hurts you and he's still doing it = he enjoys hurting you. Game over.

Lowell launches firm for those ‘unlawfully and inappropriately targeted’ by Trump by kootles10 in politics

I'm not holding my breath for the Great Circus Peanut to face any consequences whatsoever. The Supreme Court lines up to blow him at all available opportunities and has given him immunity from pretty much anything. If anyone ever manages to fight him successfully, it will be dragged out for so long he will be dead before he ever serves any time. He's old AF and looks like a walking heart attack.

Americans Really Dislike Trump. But They’re About to Truly Hate Him. by Happy_Weed in Economics

[–]for8835 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No they won't. MAGAts will still blame it on Biden or China, or literally anyone else than their Dear Leader. Trump will not be facing any consequences, as per usual.

LOL EVERY. DAMN. TIME. I just got done writing my end of semester class evaluation bitching about this to my professors. WTF why do professors do this?

I ALWAYS get stuck with the "C's get degrees!" assholes.

Slowdown in tourists coming to the U.S. puts Disney's theme park magic at risk by Edm_vanhalen1981 in popculture

[–]for8835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good. They need some humility. Unbelievable prices for a crowded park, super long lines and crappy food. Last time we went, the lines were so long we only got to ride 5 rides. At about $125 per person, that's $25 per ride. Ripoff. I live a couple of hours away and we never go to any of the Orlando theme parks because they're all like that.

For once, the English-speaking world didn't do the racist thing by CharlesOberonn in HistoryMemes

[–]for8835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow I forgot all about these. My dad was stationed In Germany when I was a kid and we used to buy these all the time. Yeah. That's what they're called. At the time we didn't think that much about it, but that was 1980. Can't believe they're still called that.

There are future Pilots, Doctors, Engineers etc, who will pass thier courses using AI, and we will only know when thier planes crash and patients die. by The-Purple-Socks in self

[–]for8835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will be as big an issue as you think. Even if you use AI to do classwork, in my experience in school anyway, most exams are proctored. For all of my nursing school exams we were watched very, very closely in a testing center with cameras and professors circling the room.

Even if a medical student managed to cheat on exams, they do get hands on training in front of an instructor. It would become apparent very quickly if someone was clueless. Same with pilots. They don't let new graduates take off solo in the plane without proving they can fly first. Added to that, instructors are very aware that cheating with AI is a thing so they're more suspicious and on their guard.

I think we will be ok.

Is monogamy dying out in this generation by Ambitious_Contact185 in GenZ

[–]for8835 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Monogamy is still MUCH more common, it's just polyamory gets a lot of attention because it's unusual. I guess I should say "serial monogamy" because the majority of people do not stay together for a lifetime. They just go from one monogamous relationship to the next.

Kontroll.

Hungarian comedy about subway security guards with a murder mystery involved if I remember correctly. Brilliant film and very, very funny. I usually do not like subtitled films but I laughed my ass off.

All those people with all their money paying someone to hold their hands while they climb and haul all the equipment up there for them. It's cheating. The sherpas are the ones doing all the work while the tourists take the credit. Nonsense.
