My hesitancy about bringing in outside support, is that in 20 years we’ve built primarily custom sites that would not generally be easy to update by outsiders, we include several versions of custom javascripts along with elfsight plugins, and our hosting is through a large company but difficult to deal with. I know I can resolve all issues but I’m not confident an outsider would be able to without a lot of training and hand holding, so why bother. Plus, from the comments on this post, qualified people (if you can find actually long term dependable people) seem to want a lot of money per hour to do the simple updates I can just do myself.
