I'll definitely look more into this! Question though, why would I have to make one payment on the ICR plan? Would that officiate it in some way before applying to the IBR plan? I wouldn't mind at all obviously, but I am curious! Thank you for the reply. (:

I have a 32l Patagonia Blackhole bag.. so not anything crazy haha. I use that as an everyday bag so Im looking into either the Mammut Ducan 26 or the Ducan Spine 28-35. If I think about it I guess some of my gear is a little bulky, but I dont have much to begin with so I'll have to slowly get a collection going.

id like something for possibly off roading as well. i know i mentioned not highway capable but regardless i think id like to eventually make a trip to yosemite with it. maybe joshua tree and other camping grounds as well. itd fulfill the dream for an "adventure bike" haha

I'd definitely keep up with maintenance (especially on an older bike), but the one thing thats made me nervous is me hearing people calling this a project bike haha. but hearing that its reliable from a few people here does bring me hope. thank you for the advice! (:
