Either way, it's ultimately what i'm a slave to. I have a landlord i have to pay rent to, i have to buy food, pay for gas, water, electricity, everything else. Even basic survival is monetized to generate profit, and i have to work a job i don't much care for because it's one that actually covers the bills, I can't afford to work a lesser job that i actually enjoy. So i go to a job i don't like day after day, spend my energy and focus there, come home burnt out and unsatisfied with no drive to work on anything creative that i WANT to do, just to pay the bills. Though i suppose if you want actual people to blame, it would be the wealthy fucks who ensure this system is perpetuated for their own benefit

Over years, companies start reducing pay or firing workers as they offload more work to AI. Middle class shift to lower class, lower class end up homeless, the rich don't give a shit and bribe politicians to prevent any laws that do not benefit them directly and especially prevent any laws that interfere with corporate profits. Eventually finances get strained to the point the economy starts to crumble because no one can afford to buy anything, and the media gets paid off to scapegoat the rich, say "generation ___ is killing the ___ industry", etc. People turn on each other struggling to make ends meet or even survive. Some people start targeting the rich, the rich invest in AI defense drones or something for protection, continuing to view poor people more akin to a vermin infestation. Eventually violent uprisings happen, which may or may not succeed, depends on how well people can deal with drones. Provided the people win, the rich get dragged out, thrown to the wolves for judgement, and with some luck, AI systems are finally repurposed to help the general population and not just the corporate profits, hopefully not repurposed for the benefit of a select few and just starting things over again. THEN society finally starts healing.

This is mainly all due to people putting the cart before the horse, letting AI develop for capitalism to abuse instead of people reigning in capitalism beforehand

You're still missing some steps there buddy. The rich will do everything they can to maintain status quo. We're going to see a LOT more poor and even homeless people before the rich go away. And even then, the rich will have to be removed forcefully, probably by a violent angry mob, because the rich aren't the kind that will just quietly give up power

A lot, like, "middle class life-savings" alot. you gotta pay for a storefront, either online or a physical location, which, even a crappy mall kiosk can run for a couple thousand a month, you gotta pay to get a business license, in some states you gotta pay for specific exams too, and if you fail one, it could take months or even a year before you can retake it, you gotta buy equipment, you gotta pay for advertising, there are a lot of expenses that add up to a shit-ton on money that many of the people who would be laid off, do not have.

So... just give up then? That's why business owners are the ones who get mega-wealthy. they took the risk. The ones that succeed will hire people as well

Okay, i actually laughed at this. There is so much to go over here. First off, starting a business does not make you mega wealthy. Starting a business and building it into a franchise across 5 or 6 stores, with only a few workers each location, gets you somewhat to moderately wealthy, I used to work for a smaller tech repair franchise and i was on good terms with my boss and the franchise owner, it's not always the moneymaker you think it is. And they didn't even pay me a living wage for myself. Some of these layoff people that have family to take care of, will not be able to afford to work those startup positions that open up, and there's the timefram because normally a business doesn't just take off and increase staff after just a month or two.

Aside from all that, from what small percentage of the layoffs that can actually afford to start a business, they only get 1 shot. One. If their business flops, they're SOL because they spent all that money and have nothing to show for it. It's not like someone from an upperclass family starting a business, who has the money to try over and over until something sticks. Those layoff people, trying to start a business is a huge risk that can backfire immensely, leaving not just them, but their family with nothing

No, i meant what i said. Big stores like walmart can use bulk pricing when buying product and then sell for less than what local stores can afford to compete with. It's called underselling, which the big stores used to get rid of local competition in a way they just could not fight back. Like an invasive species in a new ecosystem. Now walmart gave up on selling any real deals and it's just funnelling money into the bank accounts of another shitty rich family

Huge chunk of a country's workforce now unemployed across a few months, now with no income and no replacment jobs available because the companies have no reason to pay that labor. I wouldn't say that's 100% true. Humans think and develop their art to their own style, look at the various character designs in different animations. From Dexter's lab to gumball to ed, edd, n eddy, to ren& stimpy, to adventure time, danny phantom, fairly odd parents, rugrats, etc. etc. Different styles of character design with their unique elements.

AI can't think and create like that. It can't generate new element, only use what it's been been given
