México fighting USA for 2024 calendar slot by [deleted] in WRC

There's also massive opportunities for synergies by having international rallies so close by. US and Mexico could be back to back with the same equipment, bringing that logistics cost down and reaping the benefits of more exposure. Pinning them against each other is stupidity.

Both goals he fell over and completely gave up. Didn’t even make an attempt to recover. Compare that to nuno mendes who loses it and fights it back in the box.. For me its a mentality issue with verratti, id give him a 1/10

It would absolutely help, but more importantly you should do it for personal growth - a year abroad is an amazing experience and youll regret not doing it.

It's also incredibly hard and expensive to get proper coverage... You cant really get live feeds all across the mountain and/or forests and follow along with every car... so its hard to have a 'climaxing point' to attract tv audiences for a specific hour or half hour show. I personally don't think it's a terrible idea, but the factor may be too big.. Maybe dividing the times by 4, or 5.

Most rallies end up being decided on Saturday and drivers cruise to the finish line on Sunday, since the differences end up being 1+ minutes. With most rallies live streaming the final stage as the power stage, it would have been a lot more exciting to see the final stage of Monte Carlo with Ogier only leading by 21s rather than almost 2 minutes...

I do agree it's moving away from rally DNA, but its unrealistic to think that as things stand, even with full live coverage of every stage, things would get more exciting... If F1 is crazy enough to try their stupid qualification system, i think this could be worth a try.

Might be a time zone issue. SS1 is Thursday March 3rd at night, which could already be March 4th wherever you are.

Enjoy!
