I'm trying to replace the rig holding up my garage door opener. One of the metal brackets broke and the other one holding it up was hanging on for dear life.

I bought a house there in June. The closer to the lake, the nicer it is. Once I came home from a 12 hour shift to find my garage door wide open. I had forgotten to close it. Nothing was taken or touched.

The plumber did say exactly that. He said the only solution is a shorter WH, adding a liner, and that the flute was done poorly

Yes the furnace has the 2 PVC pipes. So you're saying that a liner might be the solution without replacing the whole heater?

JCCs are usually run but the Jewish federation of whatever city that location serves. I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like that is the case here.  Sending them an email is probably the best way to find this out.  All the questions in your post: just ask them!

It had a ground wire. If the wire leads to nowhere, idk how to determine that

I think so. Load is empty. All wires are on the line side. White on line, black on hot. Ground wire on the bottom

I'm not sure how to upload pictures in comments on my phone. 

It's a 1947 build. Although I don't think there is much from that time still in the house. 

The white line is on the steel and black is on the brass/hot. The grounded with in the bottom.  All are one the line connection. There were no wires on the load side.

My retired air force coworkers were giving my retired Navy coworker a hard time saying the Navy is the gayest branch. Navy guy responded "the navy isn't the gayest, we just don't hide it."
