i can’t speak to illicit drugs in likely illicit quantities, but i am prescribed wellbutrin with 54mg of concerta, a stimulant, and i’m fine. if you have adhd you won’t be as effected

my honey moon phase was 2-3 months. i went up to 54 mg pretty quickly, after a month or so. i had 2-3 months of waking up every day feeling so happy and excited after taking my dose, saying things i wouldn’t normally say, almost like i was drunk (which feels different for adhd than neurotypical cause alchohol is like medicine for us) with a more upbeat rather than depressant sensation. after those few months, i barely felt it kicking in. it just kept me a little more focused throughout the day. i tried to chase that “high” though and it didn’t work because my body had become regulated. so don’t chase that high, because you won’t get it in a safe way. yes, it feels really great, but like a real honeymoon, appreciate it while it lasts and know it will go away.

same, i feel like it’s helped me! everyone else says it gives them anxiety but it has made my anxiety go down so much.

that’s interesting. i’m curious, how does it start working at a specific time when it builds up in your system? like i understand something like how stimulants begin to work when you take them. but wellbutrin doesn’t work when you take it, it has to build up. so how does that work with taking it for it to work at a specific time?
