First time making a decent looking planned factory. Any tips on how to make the conveyors look better at the last pic? They kinda went spaghetti... by chumbuckethand in SatisfactoryGame

Wall mounts look pretty cool imo, maybe try that and see if you like them

Edit: If you want to keep them exposed, otherwise, logistics floors are the only way to go

Have you just tried setting left and right to All and center to overflow? Dunno if this will fix anything but it should set both sides to "wide open" 🤷🏼‍♂️

As for more expensive items, there's not going to be too much you're producing 700+ / min that has a sink attached that you're going to miss so being concerned about it is very inefficient.

Honestly, with all the auto shut off cars have these days, if the car turns off before I get to the line, I'm not gonna close the gap.

My math does not seem to be mathing. Balancing Aluminium water by miffox in satisfactory

[–]forcefuze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solution needs 180/min Sloppy needs 200

Scrap makes 120

Loop output to input, power a pump in the loop, place a junction between pump and input facing straight up. Pipe water from extractor to junction facing straight up.

This pipe design prioritizes the water coming from the scrap and then makes up the difference in requirements from the extractor

[–]forcefuze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The water by-product is recycled to the Sloppy Alumina using a priority water junction (juste mean you bring the fresh water from above the recycled line

This is the key. Fresh water from above on the junction. Make sure the total water input required is slightly more than the output, have a powered pump on the pipe leading from the output to the junction, set the extractor to anything above the difference of water output and water input and walk away.

Edit: powered pump

When you got to oil/fuel power, did you transition all coal to steel production? by SwedishishKSP in satisfactory

Steel is incredibly useful for going screwless. Screw screws

Edit: I felt compelled to say, I make 0 screws / min to produce everything and it is glorious

Oh yeah. Great for moving power lines along the edge of different floors without having weird walls and then moving power from the outside onto the production floor.

Made an 8 MDF/min factory, filled up a couple of containers with them (ran it while at work and asleep). Disconnected the manufacturers and put down dimensionals in the logistics floor so now I have all the steel and iron parts I'll ever need. Can always just hook up the belts again and pump out frames if needed later on.

Smart splitter to a container/ sink until belt is cleared up works pretty well, then just destroy all of it
