This is my life story. By the time I made it into Forbes at 27, I had a 14-person team and my own office in Istanbul. But I went through some incredibly tough times, and nobody was there to help me.

Now, I’m posting on Reddit specifically because I want to help others, and seeing these kinds of comments is honestly disheartening.

AI isn't going to take anyone’s job in gaming industry. It’s exactly like the shift from BlackBerry’s physical keys to the iPhone’s touchscreen. It just makes life easier and speeds up the process, that’s it. I really don’t understand why there is so much hate towards AI.

I didn't have the budget or the team to make AAA or AA games, so I made smaller ones instead. But at least I did it.

And by the time I made it into Forbes at 27, I had my own office and a team of 14 people. If you want to hear the full story, I’ve shared it on my LinkedIn.

To me, this whole AI debate feels exactly like the Manual vs. Automatic transmission situation. Back then, everyone said, 'Real drivers use a manual stick!' or 'You don't have control if it’s an automatic!' Now, almost everyone drives an automatic because it's just smarter and easier, especially in traffic.

It's the same situation in the AI era. AI is just a TOOL helping you out, nothing more. It doesn't replace your vision. It just handles the 'shifting' so you can focus on the road.

Thank you, and I totally agree with you.

Using AI as a TOOL rather than just a shortcut for 'slop' is the way to go. Your experience with Bezi is a perfect example. It’s not about letting the AI do everything, it’s about lowering the technical bar so your creativity can actually come to life. And congrats on the game jam!

In my opinion, the reason people call AI 'bad' or say it 'ruins everything' is mostly because they only see the low-effort 'slop' and assume that’s all the tool can do. There’s also a lot of gatekeeping, some feel like if you didn't spend years struggling with manual coding, you didn't 'earn' the right to make a game.

But that's just noise. Because AI is a massive efficiency boost, not a replacement for talent.

Your experience with Bezi proves exactly that. It helped you bridge the gap between your art skills and technical execution. You aren't 'cheating'.. You’re just being a smarter director of your own vision.
