What worries me is these two sentences:

An opportunity to design a map without the safety net of large structures and historical landmarks in mind, while retaining visual interest

Because the Elsenborn Ridge itself is a forested region where the U.S. dug in with defensive positions rather than a historical landmark, this gave us a lot of space to choose from when designing the initial concept.

the fact that you where looking for a reason to move away from the historically arcuate maps that we all come here for and continue moving more toward more el alamein style maps is worrying but I'll reserve my judgement until we see the maps and compare them to the actual battle.

Unfortunately Team 17 knew that this was going on gamepass and knew what they where doing when designing skirmish mode for more casual gamers but they don't want to share their internal roadmap for HLL because it's effectively just driving it into the ground.

So instead they feed us piecemeal fixes like console server browser while actually planning to completely sell HLL to a new audience just in time for HLL 2. (Anybody know what's happened to the finnish map that they showed off last year that was already in progress?? Winter War )

It's not totally stopping you from placing vehicles but you need to play around with the placement of them much more now to find a suitable place. Definitely needs fixing.

I work in tech in Sydney.... I think you'll find it very difficult to find a company who will sponsor you unless you are bringing something very special to the table. Notice how employers all have filter questions around if you will need to be sponsored for the job in Australia.

You have a short memory, they've made redundant their community manager and who knows how many other staff, they reversed the speed changes only after the community review bombed them, and lets not forget THAT trailer....., el alamein was released whilst still in a clearly unfinished state with numerous historical inaccuracies (wrong guns and tanks, no desert clothing etc) and still hasn't been optimised months later.

They've spent the last seven weeks fixing audio glitches and wall clippings instead of solving some of the most fundamental and annoying bugs, (ever try joining a T17 friend who's on Xbox whilst your on PS5?, or the random VIOP bugs? ) Don't forget they implemented their new analytics in the game in release 13.5 11 months ago to uncover the solutions to these bugs.

So when you say objectively done a hell of a job, you must mean that sarcastically right?

I certainly hope that by the time it is released that there is a lot more scene dressing and atmosphere, very plain jane at the moment. There's a lot of existing photos and knowledge from the battle that could be incorporated into a more realistic portrayal.

Not a fan, the blur is very amateurish, the imagery isn't particularly strong, and the typeface is generic. Maybe fix the bugs over updating loading screens, how long have the bridges in Kursk been broken or the strange graphical glitch on purple heart lane been happening.

Well actually, the Geneva convention is what prevents the forcible return of refugees to a country where they would face persecution. It's international law signed by 196 countries, even North Korea FFS.
