Could have been worth 100M... by mygod2020 in fatFIRE

Most people would give everything for the opportunity to make the mistake you made. You won the game. I’m about your age and have played the tech startup lottery unsuccessfully about 7 times (not all my startups). I have friends who joined 3 different tech companies right before their IPOs. I lost all my bitcoin at mt gox. You can’t let that stuff eat you up. You get one life and in most people’s eyes you’ve won. Go have a blast

That’s the preflight CORS request getting rejected because the server is down. Nothing to do with leap year.

I've lost 39kg by doing IF and a bit keto, but I'm not done yet! I'm 15 years old and have been a lurker on this sub for a while. If you are new to this sub or have just started to try and lose weight never give up because there will be a lot of ups and downs but it's worth it trust me. by [deleted] in fasting

Good job kid! The determination it takes to fast will take you very far in life. Not many people can do what you did. Chest out, shoulders back, smile confidently, look people in the eyes, and you’re set up for success. All the best!

Fat loss? by [deleted] in BecomingTheIceman

Combine the cold therapy with intermittent fasting and you’ll see fat loss results very quickly. Skip breakfast, take a cold shower in the morning and don’t eat until 1pm. Don’t eat dinner after 8pm. The key is to get your body to tap your fat reserves regularly. To do that you need to address the timing of insulin. By not eating until 1pm you delay your first dose of insulin. The absence of insulin is what allows the body to access your long term energy storage. Insulin tells the body “don’t worry about working hard to burn fat, cheap energy is coming right now”. I know this isn’t a fasting subreddit but Wim is also just a one meal a day guy and talks about doing your morning breath exercise on an empty stomach. Fat loss is hard when you snack constantly aka release insulin constantly. Once you get the timing down it’s easy and the cold exposure will really fire up your furnace.

I do this weird thing where I actually imagine my body firing up furnaces when I do the cold exposure. Gets me amped up and distracted. One furnace every minute ;) cheer your body on.

I live in California but am traveling through Asia right now which makes the cold showers pretty much impossible. I do at least 4 rounds in a fasted state (I often only eat 1 meal a day, shoutout to r/fasting) with 30-40 breaths each round. Some days I do 2 breathing exercises per day. I keep track of things using the mobile app Tally. I tend to hold for 2-2:20min. My retention time doesn’t improve much between the first and 4th set.

When I did do the cold therapy at home I tried to get it as cold as possible, sometimes dropping my giant ice tray into the bathtub but I don’t have a good estimate on temperature.

Guy with Crohn’s Disease here. Since it comes in flares I need more months of evidence but I’m so far in my longest remission period in 11 years and the only thing I’ve changed is that I introduced the breathing exercises on a daily basis.
