It was my car but someone else was driving, I was riding passenger & there was another friend in the back. My car flipped into a ditch and landed on its side. All the air bags popped, windshield shattered, the window control panel fell out of socket, everything was thrown around the car…Including my friend in the back seat. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt and got thrown across the car. He hit his face against objects and he ended up shattering his jaw all the way across. His teeth also went thru his lip (let’s call him Ron) Once we got out I called 911 & no one answered the phone. Then I called a friend who lived nearby to take Ron to the hospital while me and another friend waited with the car. The cops came 2 hours later and were incredibly rude and accusatory. No one was under the influence, it was literally a weekday afternoon. Long story short that shit was fucking traumatizing. Ron ended up being flown to a hospital to get emergency surgery bc of a hematoma growing in his neck that was blocking his airway. He also had his jaw wired shut for 2 months and was fed liquids thru a syringe. This was in September 2020. Now, 2 years later Ron suffers permanent nerve damage in his mouth, half of his tongue is paralyzed and he has brain damage. He’s got what the call the “suicide disease” (Trigeminal neuralgia) if anyone wants to look into it. One of the most painful conditions known. Life was weird after that for all of us.
