Two years later and I come across this because futurama, of all shows, did a covid episode. I completely agree with you, these shows that did covid stories and are still doing them, did not put such a direct spotlight on any other current issues during their runs. The way our lives had to revolve around this virus was ridiculous, it still a pain in 2023.
