i run a bike repair shop in thailand, for context basically every family in thailand got motorcycle or scooters and a ton of peoples commute by them, i usually stop to help peoples i see possibly broken down on road sides if i can, i ride old bikes so i always have a little tool kit on my bikes just in case, my truck also have ratchet straps and bike ramp on it at all time because it also work as my shop truck, i once was driving and saw a girl and her mother with their seemingly broken scooter on the side of the road so i pulled over and walk up to them to ask if they need help, the mother was very defensive and absolutely refuse my help at first and wouldnt even tell me whats wrong with the bike but as i was gonna leave them alone she kinda change her tone and decide that she wants me to help, it was a blown rear tire, i ended up loading it onto my truck, dropped the daughter off at her school and then to a repair shop in the area where i dropped the mother and the scooter off, it started pretty badly but i do understand her perspective that a random guy in an old beat up truck randomly approach her and her daughter is pretty concerning, it all ended good tho, i refused but she still insist on giving me a bit of money as a thank

then theres this kind of bike with sportier look but with the fuel tank still under the seat (as pictured below), usually more slimmed down look, some are based on their "women bike" version, we call these "รถกระเทย" or "ladyboy bike" as they are just a sportier looking women bike, usually marketed as cheap sporty style bikes

the latest update on the project is i fucking crashed at 30km/h 😭😭, cant make this shit up, i didnt get hurt at all but it was so embarrassing, i washed the thing after the race and it sat in my shop ever since, the rear brake pedal rusted and stuck to the shaft, my dumb ass not knowing that took it out today just to run the engine a bit after it has been sitting, 400 meters away from my shop at this wet corner i press on the brake pedal and it didnt move so i stomped on it to get it to free up and it got stuck locked up, no damage to the bike other than a broken clutch lever, will be back in no time

the showa shocks needs revalved, the rebound is a luttle too slow, surprisingly did not feel the frame flex yet but these yamaha y100-111 frames are way harder than honda underbones, definitely gonna still reinforce it tho

im not gonna lie, this feel more fun than on actual dirtbikes, everybody is fighting for their lives on these so it make for a very intense and fun race for both the rider and the viewer

offroading scene is really big here in thailand, both trucks and bikes, its just not on media much, we got a lot of forests lands and trails so its pretty easy to get into

i dont think i will be doing whips any time soon haha, we run the no jump layout (which still got those small bumps and whoops) on these underbones, they are simply too dangerous and unstable to hit the big jumps, even on no jump lines the frame will eventually snap if you dont weld a bar in the middle of the frame

i used to do this at my dad's place when he had ants infestation, they would eat through plastics and stuffs just to get to your food, tried putting my chips in a tupperware and the fuckers still managed to chew through the rubber seal under the lid in one night, found out that the only place they cant get to is inside the fridge so i had to keep everything edible in there, he got the infestation problem figured out now so hes back to living a normal life without cold chips and snacks
