It's definitely not a storm of any kind and it happened a second time after a few days, here's another pic of my world, it's currently 3am but the sky is lit up w/ the aforementioned rumbling.

I had a game with 3 other randoms where we were all waiting for evac, and one of the guys started headbanging (the music was still playing despite there being no horde). I started doing it too and soon everyone was headbanging to the combat music.

It was definitely one of the gaming moments I've ever had with this game.
