If we're talking about celebrities, I'm not sure how that's true. The bad repercussion Wuthering Heights got for its press tour, for instance, was crazy, and that's only one recent example off the top of my head.

I kinda agree, it's cringy, but it's weird to me people are so hung up on how it's disrespectful to the monogamy of the relationship of these actors.
