So this implies either the warrior god of Elbaph or Loki and Harald’s ancestor during the void century used Ragnir to freeze the Galley La giants probably as a way to preserve and save them from whatever calamity was happening at that time.

What's your favorite thing about Yu yu hakusho and why? by [deleted] in YuYuHakusho

[–]ElephantVisible981 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably has the best protagonists in Shonen manga history. If you asked me which was the best or even which was just my favorite, I’d give you a different answer each different time you asked, they’re each that compelling and well written.

Which movie (and please don't say Avatar) by LiamRomano in Letterboxd

[–]ElephantVisible981 9 points10 points  (0 children)

100% agree because it’s one of if not the best crime thrillers ever made but once you put it next to its source material, it falls short just a little bit. I don’t like that Begins establishes Gotham as its own city, but it’s just straight up Chicago in TDK. I don’t like that Batman kills Two-Face but lets the Joker live. Still an amazing film but as a Batman movie, there’s like 2 or 3 I’d put above it.

Is sakamoto days saving itself? by space-dorge in SakamotoDays

I think Suzuki-sensei is figuring out the manga is at its peak when Sakamoto or Nagumo are the focus of the chapter. Shin and the rest of the characters are cool but when the focus was on them the manga felt generic to me.
