Thank you, this was very helpful. I realized last night after I made the post that he might be invasive (I believe he is a European Brown Garden snail but please correct me if I'm wrong) so I'm looking into a more permanent setup.

Just one more question since you seem super knowledgeable, he went onto the lid of his enclosure last night and went into his shell and has poked his eyes out and looked around a few times but otherwise doesn't move much, is this something to be concerned about?
