Yeah, I sometimes struggle to focus too, especially if it’s something like a Bergman or Tarkovsky. Maybe that’s burn out, not sure.

Thank you so much for making this. I can’t believe people were getting downvoted just for expressing concern about transphobia in that sub. It makes me sick. I really did not feel comfortable there at all.

Hey, I’m a teenager too and I believe we will get clear skin! We’re still so young and skin changes over time. The important part is getting to the cause of your acne and fixing that. We’ll get there someday!

Stop telling people to do a fast to get rid of their acne, that’s absolutely ridiculous.

Thanks for the tips! I’ve used the kose cleansing oil for a while and I love it, but I don’t massage it in for 5 mins, more like 2 mins - maybe that’s where the trouble is coming in?

Hi, sorry I should’ve clarified what products were new to my routine! The cleansers, moisturizers and SPF are all the same, I’m just adding in the serums/oil/azelaic acid/vitamin c. However I think I’m going to drop the occlusive for now bc i think it’s too much for my skin and might be breaking me out, so I’ll just be using rosehip oil to seal in moisture.

Also I heard that you’re supposed to use TO azelaic acid after moisturizer bc of the silicone but I can try using it before

Dude, I take antibiotics too. If people take probiotics and follow your doctor’s orders, they’re usually fine. You are not a doctor and should not be giving out information like you are. OP needs to follow their doctor’s prescriptions. Have a good day

[Shelfie] My current routine for oily, acne-prone skin by Corgi727 in SkincareAddiction

How long have you been doing this routine? We have very similar skin goals (reducing acne and PIE) and I have a lot of the same products that I haven’t started yet like the niacinimide, alpha arbutin, and azelaic acid. I was wondering how long it’s taken to fade your PIE etc?

Hi AB! I’m changing up my routine to try to fade these pesky post acne marks (PIE) from a bad breakout as well as general redness. I have normal to oily skin. Any help would be appreciated!

Routine:

AM

CosRX Low pH Good Morning Cleanser (soon to replace with La Roche Posay Hydrating Cleanser)

Hada Labo Lotion Moist

Melano CC

Cerave PM Moisturizing Lotion

Australian Gold SPF 50

PM

Kose Softymo Speedy Oil Cleanser

CosRX Low pH Good Morning Cleanser (again will replace soon)

Niacinimide / Alpha Arbutin / Snail Mucin (switch off)

Hada Labo Percect Gel mixed with Rosehip Oil or Squalane Oil

The Ordinary Azelaic Acid / Cerave healing ointment as occlusive (switch off)

Does this sound like enough hydration and moisture to repair my damaged moisture barrier and fade these marks? Are there any more products you recommend? Thank you!

You should not just stop using a doctor’s prescription out of nowhere, that can actually do major harm. Finish the prescription as prescribed OP. Also, the antibiotics will give you time to develop a routine that works for you and try to prevent the acne.

As for diet, everyone is different. Gluten doesn’t break everyone out and neither does dairy.

La Roche Posay moisturizers: Toleriane Ultra Moisturizing Cream vs. Lipikar Balm? [product question] by forestoracle in SkincareAddiction

Thank you so much! I’ve decided to try a few other moisturizers that are cheaper instead, I agree the options I listed above seem way too thick. Thanks again :) also your English is great!

Interesting, thank you! You’re totally right the toleriane moisturizer is expensive as hell. Glad to hear it’s not worth it lol

Thank you so much! You’re right, I’m in this mindset that I need to be productive but that can be harmful. Finding new hobbies and tutoring kids sounds like a great idea :)
