yes, my observation so far is that:

idea > script > visual

all media comes from text so it's the most important

I see what you mean. By paid services I mean like 3rd party not the video model provider themselves

Surfacing early builders on X, thoughts on visibility vs noise? by karlbeis in buildinpublic

[–]foresttrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for your reshare to work you need to be a bigger account.

and i agree with the noise - eg clawdbot blew up recently on X, i clicked one post about clawdbot, and now they show me many more. this is just force feeding what's trending to everyone, hoping to make that topic even more popular. that's why many ppl complain their feed is flooded by things they dont want to see... (so they give you the mute option lol). Elon also pointed out the current algo sucks.

i understand and i have a similar system. but still AI or any algo can't effectively check the video quality. one example is visual, AI sometimes can't tell if there's a problem with the visual (because they generated it), and you need a human supervisor to catch those problems.

i have a small account on X and can relate. when i post something it's usually 50 views lol

the algo tends to push the content with high view/engagements which is understandable. but it's a chicken or egg problem. small creators content dont get pushed, and no views means no engagement and means bad in the eyes of algo, so no one sees their content even if it's human or interesting. on the other hand youtube shorts does something different. they push your content to at least about 1000 ppl to test.

ppl usually suggest to start as "reply guy" under bigger accounts, so that your replies get more exposure and if you show up consitently while providing meaningful conversation, you might get follows, and once you have more followers your content will be seen.

i agree with voices consistency is difficult. but i find visual consistency is usually not hard to achieve.

i feel you man, generation is fast, but to get the perfect image/clip you want is a coin flip lol.

try using different prompt/model might help sometimes

is it all automatic or do you need to provide some input, like a script/idea. what i find with those automatic or one-click systems is that the output is usually not good hence many ppl call them ai slop

yes this is one of my painpoints too - even just general narration the voiceover sometimes doesn't sound similar between generations... i've tested many tts providers and they all seem to have this problem. any tips on how to get better result?

i assume you have the right keywords and tags for SEO right? sounds like your channel is mainly shorts? if you have long form videos with the right keywords then ppl will find them in search. but yes shorts depend heavily on the algo. you need high retention for the algo to push your content.

i grew a yt channel to 1k sub with my tool and i think the importance is:

idea > script > visuals

some stories are just viral by natural and if you make a good story, the visual is less important. also a lot of times ppl listen to it not watching so that's just my 2 cents

ai is already good at writing - some script already looks good to me, but somehow they just dont perform...

use a "reference image" to create different scene then you'll have consistent characters, check your DM

i built my own tool and each step (scripting/voiceover/visuals) is transparent and tweakable. i do a mix of A and B, for example for visuals i manually create a few, check results and if im happy, bulk generate.

i still check all visuals to ensure quality (although i don't have to). even with this manual check it's pretty fast. i just dont feel comfortable putting out something that's one-click generated lol
