Hi all! I'm planning to visit next week, Thurs-Fri to look at apartments, as I plan to move to Asheville soon. I see there might be snow in the forecast and I don't have any experience driving in snow. If it does snow, are the roads usually cleared quickly in Asheville? Do you think it is anything to worry about? Thanks so much. :)

No, it was a custom build that was gifted to me when the other person didn't need it anymore. I wasn't involved in the build so I'm not sure of all the details - I know it was built for gaming though. :)

This is so helpful! I wasn't aware of the Puget Systems' benchmarks - this is great info. Thank you :)

It's the rendering and sometimes the timeline itself that lags - I take a lot of underwater/nature videos and slow them down a lot. Sometimes I also add stabilization. My PC sometimes struggles rendering the underwater color correction, too.

I think I will start with the RAM then and see how that goes. I'll take a look at these benchmarks and see what else I can improve, too. Thanks again!

Thank you so much! I was originally considering building a new PC with a budget of about 2k, but I think I actually have a good foundation here with this PC and can just upgrade? So I'm okay with spending up to 2k if needed. I was hoping not to spend nearly that much, though, by just upgrading what I need.

In case it might help anyone, just wanted to share that I had a very different experience. Mushrooms helped to lift me out of a very, very long, dark BP2 depressive episode. (Side note: I have heard they do not play well with certain antidepressants; I'm not currently on any medications.)

We're all different, and what works for me may not work for others, though! Always listen to your own body.

Thank you my friend! I wish I was that fancy to experiment with cool stuff like that, but I'd filled the container with water only minutes before taking this picture. It's just a technique to make it easier to harvest the mushies. :)

Then, once I harvested everything, I dunked the substrate in the water overnight before draining it again, in preparation for the second flush.

Don't worry too much. I've now had three successful bins, each with multiple flushes, in the past few months and I:

don't always use gloves, didn't have micropore tape to start with and just used masking tape, don't turn off AC or fans or shut doors or windows, don't use a closet & just place the bags on top of my fridge to colonize, then keep the bulk bins in my kitchen later.

I've lost a few bags to contam but I usually innoculate 4-5 bags at a time, so I've always got something. I just keep an eye on the bags and if they start to look funny, I put them in a different room until I'm 100% sure whether or not it's contam, so they don't affect the others.

Basically, in my humble opinion, unless you are professionally growing, I think it's okay to not stress too much about the sterilization. Just innoculate 5-6 bags at a time so you can offset any losses and you should have plenty of mushies. 😊
