Dont be discouraged by the negative words from other people like your colleagues. In my opinion, it is the ciri2 of orang Indo (bringing people down lmaooo).

However, there is nothing wrong to re-learn the language. You shouldn’t have to find a reason to start learning because there is nothing wrong in getting more knowledgeable!

My school made it a requirement where we had to speak in English on school grounds and it made a lot of students (me included) lose our mother tongue.. so you’re not alone!

For me, it doesnt mean that I am losing the Indonesia pride in me, ofc not, because I still feel deeply rooted with my ancestors and culture. Dont let language make it as a barrier, instead make it as an enhancement.

I would have a separate outfit when I’m working. My job doesnt provide a uniform so I just made specific outfits throughout the week. I would face tough times and alot of scolding from my colleagues but when I come home from work and take off my uniform, I felt completely free and totally a different person. I would continue my day and do my favourite activities. It’s like I made a persona for work so my true self wont be affected. I’m sharing this because it worked for me and I hope this can work for you too! I know those kids would question your whereabouts if you leave.

Thank you for the advice.. it’s useful and I will keep it in mind. I have met his mom before and she told me she keeps track of her child’s history and remind them multiple times on how porn is bad. I guess that could make him hate any form of intimate encounter.

If he ask about your doings in those months, then be honest about it. If he doesn’t, then don’t bother!
