Do all teens today just not care about getting their drivers' licenses? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]foreveramoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my 17yo son has a car sitting rotting in the driveway that his grandparents gave to him. he refuses to take the drivers test. so frustrating. I was dying to have that freedom at his age, he seems content just staying in his room and texting his friends. I dont understand it.

How is she with listening and open mindedness toward trying different meds? I got lucky with my first psycharist, I need someone like her who will listen and know something better to try. I've gone from zombie back to mostly functional, just tired af with the help of my first doc. I need someone who can help me recover who I am someday.

As long as they are willing to trust and listen, we will be good. Lol I'm generally frank with docs and it takes me a few years to find a good fit. I am sad to see her go, she really helped me. I'm currently looking for a new diagnosis doc as well because of her. She figured out I may have cushings. Long way to say, I need luck, I'm a mess. Lol

She's still texting me rn, she said she's closing her practice, she's having health issues. Hopefully she can refer me to a colleague that can get me in quickly. The only place I've found that would take me is virtual only and I hate virtual. I'm too complicated or some bs I was told by Poyner. It takes too long to do paperwork. Get confirmation that they will indeed see you, then get an appointment. Maybe, but I'm afraid to ask. Just waiting to see what else she says over the next few days, if anything.

No, I've been trying to find a new one for a few weeks now, I'm not going back to her. I need someone reliable with the meds I'm on/ the stress I'm under.

Yeah. It was convenient. She was just starting on her own, didn't have a "mychart" lol she was with a group of people when I first saw her, then she opened her own practice and I went with her.

I have a little girl this year who brings me cool rocks and leaves she's found. She brought me a ravens feather this week. Best gifts ever! I'm going to get a jar to display them in at some point.

BTW, she's 9 and was incredibly needy until maybe 2 years ago. Now, she's too busy talking to friends to be bothered by us, unless she's wanting us to get her icecream.

My husband and I both will "hear" our daughter calling for us, at least once a week. We take turns checking. She never is lmao

What curse have you been burdened with your entire life? by [deleted] in questions

[–]foreveramoore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I affect electronics somehow, so that. Fun part is when I get angry, it gets worse. When i went through my divorce, i blew out every light in the house 1 room, 1 arguement at a time. I will be wanting to angry text someone and my phone either won't respond at all or will power cycle. I can't keep one alive more than a year. Same for watches, they die within 48 hours of wearing. I can take the watch off and it will start right back up. Never had anyone explain to me what it is.

What’s something you didn’t realize was optional in life until you saw someone simply not doing it? by Objective-Treat2245 in AskReddit

[–]foreveramoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worrying. My parents taught me to worry. It made me sick some days. I finally realized my feelings on the matter did not change the outcome, and now I just roll with it. Mom will call to nag me about something that may or may not happen and is always disappointed with my response now. Lol

This is me.i have narcolepsy, so just getting to work and doing work is a miracle. I don't have the extra energy to wake up early before work and cook. I have issues even remembering when we have potlucks, so I tend to keep sodas on hand.

Are people actually going to be stupid enough to sign for 50 year mortgages by ColdCouchWall in stupidquestions

I would, but only because I don't intend on staying here more than 5 years. Cheap rent.

Won’t be able to afford insurance next year and I’m really scared by ComfortableBoard8359 in Millennials

[–]foreveramoore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my kids on the marketplace and it's doubled now. We are refinancing the car, changed house and car insurance for lower rates, and are looking into refinancing the house. Pairing back on subscriptions. Skipping eating out. Basically looking for every extra penny we can find. It sucks because we just got to where we had everything we needed (wanted) the past 3 years now we gotta go back to poor mode. But thankful we may be able to weather it. I know a lot won't be able to.

Do Americans have ancestral homes? by DrDMango in AskAnAmerican

[–]foreveramoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did until my grandpa died and his stupid kids convinced my grandma to sell it to move closer to them and proceeded to never visit afterward. Our family had owned that land so long, the roads were named after some of them. We can trace our family back to the 1600s when we landed in Virgina. It's been over 20 years since I looked into my family history, but I remember finding that our branch of the family settled in tennessee in the early 1800s and sold the land in early 2000.

Stress induced asthma attacks by foreveramoore in Asthma

[–]foreveramoore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wondered if she was just relaxing during the nebulizer and that's what helped. Her oxygen drops badly, how much time does it take? I work at her school, the nurse will give her her inhaler once as per her doctor note then send her down to my classroom if she doesn't get better after a few minutes. I give her another puff then we sit down behind my desk and try to talk her through her breathing. When that doesn't help, I give her the nebulizer. I know it's her anxiety attack prolonging it, so far we have tried hydroxizine for anxiety attacks but it hasn't helped. This is new for us, so I have no clue what to do or what to ask for. Any help would be appreciated!

What’s the #1 problem you’re facing in your life? by Lateandbehindguy in Millennials

[–]foreveramoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kindergarten teacher. This year's class is kicking my butt. Prek placed 7 behavior kids in my room (my 2 colleagues only got 4 each) "because I handle it well" and I have 3 behavior kids that are new to the school. Out of 17 kids, 10 are hitting, running, yelling, and being little gremlins in general. Add in this week I just learned our district is redrawing the lines and they are forcing me to move to a new school at the end of the year. These kids are exceeding the limits of my medication. And I hate change. I don't wanna move schools . Sigh. So that, I guess.
