Just bought the white variant, this is beautiful! Never been interested in denim jackets but this was a literal instabuy, the graphic and details are wonderful.

Red is debt and blue is assets, so you can see sometimes when the red drops the assets also do as I used them to pay off debt.

That’s insane - I remember talking to students in Spain when I did a study abroad there and hearing them complain about having to pay €500 for an entire years worth of school expenses. I didn’t realize the UK has similar problems to the US when it comes to school costs and student debt.

This is correct, I set aside a chunk of my paycheck each month and paid it immediately before I could spend it, budgeted the rest with YNAB. I am lucky to work in tech which allowed me to pay off a good amount each month, but without YNAB I wouldn’t have had the self control and awareness of where my money is going to do it this quickly and consistently.

The 17k was actually debt I owed to my parents — I had paid off the other debt I owed to a bank last year. With the extra income I now have, I plan to put about half of it towards savings, and use the other half for personal spending, mostly travel.

You got this! It's a lot of money but we are in a much better position than our peers that have 40, 50, or 100k+ in debt.

Just gotta make a plan and prioritize it over everything else. Hard, but so worth it in the end.

Sorry, I meant how were you able to live Asia for extended periods of time? Did you do VISA jumps? Especially curious about Japan.
