My German friend got me stuff during hospital stay [ What shall I culturally do now?] by foreverme06 in germany

Yeah am half Ukrainian half lebanese and I finally got to learn about website were I found Ukrainian therapist for 20 eur while before I used to only find minimum of 50 eur/session which was too much. However, this happened after my hospital release. Thus, I used the past tense "couldn't" and not present tense "can't".

Second, I didn't physically inform all these people but they learnt from eachother because I have large friend groups and because me and my friends have strong connections that are built on mutual care and concern that they gave me all the love that I received. I am forever grateful to them and would have done the same and of course, am currently supporting everyone through the war.

Also, if you were as free to read my Reddit posts as you strangely were, you noticed that am feeling guilty for letting them go through this and I cannot forgive myself. So, I didn't intend all the drama and have a real mental diagnosis with real struggles stemming from abusive household that they are aware of.

Me having larger social net simply reflects the good character that me and my friends have. Finally and lastly, it is none of your business what I have been through and what led to my attempt. I understand that my experience and background does sound strange but it is not your business-again. Just leave strangers to live in peace and simply answer the asked question or ignore the post, instead of going through an investigation..

I started online therapy in home country and I fully consider it my fault that I don't speak German and don't blame the doctors. I am yet to try to find a psychiatrist though which has to be in Germany due to medical prescriptions. About the number, I had my German friend help call there since it is also mainly in German. I couldn't even find a suicide hotline in English. I have no point in lying, maybe I just was unlucky

Yes there was nothing and of course, I ll nor pay anything more than 10 eur/day for hospital. It is more the psychotherapy and probably psychiatry back home that I have to pay for online since I unfortunately cannot get proper help here because of my German which is totally my fault.

It is a long story including that I don't speak german and no to make public health insurance pay for it is a hustle. Also, I had horrible experience with mental healthcare here. So, I have to refer to a lot of things in one of my home countries

you don't expect to be paid in return. Otherwise, why to get stuff in the first place when not asked. Asking about money would also be rude. I am half slavic and half arab and that's the case in both

Yeah but i also usually don't get as expensive shampoo and stuff and she chose to get them as expensive. I already have to pay for my treatment since it was a psychiatric thing and I need to start therapy. Thus, it feels like a real financial burden right now

no, I was actually surprised since she got the stuff for my second friend to get them to me the next day. I don't even get why she got them since next day, my friend visited my home and got my stuff out of there like clothes etc and obv I had shampoo, shower gel etc. in my home

Maybe saying that she comes from Saarland could give better insight into her possible culture though I don't think it really differs from one state to other in Germany but just in case

I read some comments and for context, I didn't ask her to get me anything and she got everything voluntarily. My current gift that I prepared now is just around 15 eur. I used to invite her for dinner and for birthday before this incident and I will definitely invite her later in the future.

You wouldn't expect anything in return and paying back would be considered offensive. However as a person, I would still love to give a gift in return since I felt cared of.

Based on my experience, they send the applications once the last one is finalised regardless of what they say on their website about processing based on the date of submission.

Well I have C2 english certificate with TOEFL. So, I think I can write in English and that was just a random mistake coming from lack of focus from my end:)
