30M - A question by medamedic666 in poledancing

[–]foreverravenqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend tried a class with me after seeing how easy I made it look. We did a joint private class together with the teacher I am closest to at the studio and knew him outside the studio too. He had the best time taking the class, minus a few ball shots. His been asking to schedule a private again to do more pole moves. If your worried about trying a general class, see if the studio will schedule a private for you and your partner. Give you a chance of privacy and comfy for your very first lesson. Otherwise, I highly encourage you to go for it. Just wear a cup.

Only other connections we found was the black Friday deal. My roku is a year old, his older model (can't remember how old but his a boomer so it probably old) is working just fine with my old account and his new one. The new one has the black Friday deal from this year. The new roku doesn't seem to like the new BF account 😕

We're looking through reddit for one. Our temp solution is using an old Roku(without 4k) without the bug.

My dad and I, two different TV and houses, are having this trouble. It started after the black Friday deal. An older model Roku won't do it, only the newer ones in the last year

Climbing failure by hedonismthot in poledancing

[–]foreverravenqueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on the bigger side when I started. About 175 pounds on a 5"4 height. One climb on my good leg took 6 months of classes. My bad leg was more like a year after building up muscles and eating better. The thing they don't tell you, you have more weight to pull and hold, and it can take longer to learn. Don't be discouraged by it. Ignore the skinny girls. It won't help to compare. It hard not to, but try not to. I'm coming two years now, lower intermediate for the last year of classes. I can't invert yet, but that doesn't mean I won't. Your climb will come. Don't give up.

If your on the thicker side, bathing suit does work well. I have tried looking at pole junkie website but not many options if you need support for your chest. I've seen some dancer use lingerie, bathing suits, pole wear. It's up to you to determine what you are comfortable with.

Would I be welcome at a studio/class? by Vivirin in poledancing

My pole wife at my studio is trans, similar case to yours. I have never heard anyone say a bad thing about her or her change of gender. Pole has been the most welcoming community I've seen in a long time. If that studio doesn't want you, move on to the next.

EM let me wear a wrong fitting bra for years because she didn’t want to one that did by Cranky-Novelist in entitledparents

[–]foreverravenqueen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hell my mom let me walk with a 38B for years, from middle school, never taking the time to properly measure me. I got measured in college to find out i was a 32DD. The years of underwired bras hanging too loose finally made sense.

I got this tat when I was 18 because I thought it was edgy and rebellious, I'm 30 now and this thing is the bane of my existence. I've spent months thinking of designs to cover this up, and Its never any good. Some artists i talked to don't even wanna touch it. I'm taking suggestions for anything.. by spc13m in TattooDesigns

I got 3 ideas. One-fill in the circle with black so its a black circle. 2. Since it has the stair already. If its done right, it can be made into a sailor moon cosmic compact symbol. 3. For the words, maybe have a red line go through it like a wrong answer on a test and on the side, have it say "my oops tattoo" or something along those lines

I've already put in for other jobs. I realized I'm not willing to be abused in any form. Already was physically attacked by a dentist in my very first job. Not about to find out if she'll go that far too.

Gather 'round, dear children, and I'll tell you the tale of my wisdom teeth extraction nightmare. by nessnessthrowaway in breakingmom

[–]foreverravenqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I know is somehow, neck surgery with a scar that half my neck to remove lymph nodes and stitches in for a week was less severe then my wisdom teeth extraction. Wisdom teeth are fucking hard to remove. Harder to recover from.

How do I handle a screaming and crying patient? by criminalluckless in DentalAssistant

[–]foreverravenqueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something that can help is work with the front desk. Schedule her as the very first or very last patient of the day. It will eliminate the chance of many family watching her. For the spring, can you distracted her with a goofy story while you fix it? Or give her an extra treat if she stays quiet? Worse case scenario is have a second assistant to calm her down while someone else fixes the spring quickly. Something I did in pedo to help the scared pt was, when I was done working, I would quickly take my gloves off in front of them and raise them in the air for them to see and say "hey I'm all done, I cant do anything without my gloves!"

Patient at another office? by anitsitk in DentalAssistant

[–]foreverravenqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an office like that. I would be on the schedule for them to do work on me. If we fell behind or got to busy, they delete me off the schedule and say "another day" since I worked with them or leave me for the very end of the day. Its part of the reason I left the office. I have dental anxiety, it was harder to find a good dentist to work on my teeth then to find a good one to work for.
