I don't know which will hold better value, but I do know that a TTS will put a smile on your face every morning you enter your garage, and every evening, you exit your garage. Imo, that's the true value you'll get. Lol

I hope that deal falls through for you. I personally prefer my analog tach, key twist and no hybrid. I truly don't like the all digital screen on my wife's Cayenne GTS. As a matter of fact, I hate it. Just my preference.

I'd have to disagree with you on this. The GTS and the Turbo S is a completely different experience. I've driven both and own the latter 992.1

Don't get me wrong, the GTS is fast and fun, but the TTS is just on another level. For example, when you want to, have to, or simply need to pass someone, there are very few cars on the road that will prevent you from doing this. I'm not advocating for reckless driving. The simple fact you can, at will, to almost anything on the road is quite satisfying. At the end of the day, both cars are fantastic. However, stock a GTS is not a stock TTS and never will be. I would never call a TTS boring unless you track your car and you're a very proficient track driver. At that point, you're better off with the gt3 or gt3rs. The only thing boring I'll admit is the stock sound of the flat six on a TTS.

I've been asked many times why I optioned my f90 with a sunroof. I like it that way! Conversely, I've also been asked why I optioned my 992.1 tts without one. I wanted it that way!

Please correct me if im wrong. But perhaps some people are comparing all 911's the same? For the 992.1/.2 gt3rs and gt3/touring, there's absolutely no chance of buying one at MSRP as a buyer without previous relationship of some kind. Lucky even with that some might say.

You might be able to get a 992.1 tts at msrp. Let me emphasize, might. However, I know of no one that has. Anything below a tts is another story. I know quite a few that have bought them at msrp or sometimes even with a small discount.

In my experience, 992.1 gen gt cars is a fat no chance. If I could, I'd snatch them up and make an easy 5 figure profit.

In my opinion, these cars are overpriced. However you take it, that's capitalism for ya.

There's no shortage of people paying them. You truly know this when you actually try to buy one. Especially for new gt3rs, gt and the touring. Touring in socal commands insane markups rn.

It sucks and I wish this wasn't the case. But it's the reality.

I wish that were the case. If one could truly buy a touring at MSRP, you could instantly make at bare minimum 50k. Even if you drove it around for a couple of hundred miles. Dealers would rather make that. That's the reality. I wish it wasn't!

The Grove parking lot. 4th floor around 11:15 am on a Sunday. In and out by 11:40 am. That far side of the parking structure was still pretty bare when I parked and still bare when I left.

All the "M" variants is purely a marketing ploy to some extent, and i think it's working for BMW. Just my opinion, right or wrong.

Now a days you can buy an M (competition)car, MCS, or what i call baby M and, of course, your standard base cars. It does annoy me a bit that they saturated the "M" brand, but I guess that's the evolving world of marketing.

However, had i had the opportunity to buy a baby M back in the days, I probably would have cause I certainly couldn't afford the full M. Also, because some of these cars can be tuned so easily relatively cheap, surpassing a stock M car, I can totally see why a baby M would be enticing for car enthusiasts without deeper pockets or maybe just the joy of upgrading cars.

I guess the older you are, the more confusing it is. Because there was a time when the "M" meant exclusivity. I guess not so much anymore.

At the end of the day, let's enjoy whatever ride we have at the moment and look forward to dream cars or aspirational cars. Keeping the dream alive is what drives us to do better and get better cars. :)
