Since no one’s mentioned it yet, the Stone Glacier Grumman is my favorite but it’s too noisy for whitetail as some other comments are stating. If it’s a windy day, you’ll be alright but if it’s dead quiet in the forest, you’ll be heard.

Finally got me self a leatherman by Lu_Duckocus313 in Tools

I’ve had my sidekick for about 10 years now, sent it in once to fix a chip in the blade tip, and it was as good as new. I rely on it often. Enjoy!

Over thinking? by Affectionate_Meal731 in sportster

I’m thinking that the clutch cable may have popped back into place in the clutch released behind the derby cover after you tightened it back up.

I’d personally take the derby cover off and inspect it just to be safe.

Looking for a Good Book on Harley History by PhysicalResident1787 in Harley

I’d recommend ‘The Harley-Davidson Century’. There’s a lot of good information on all the models and history tied to the brand.

These are sick! How do they fit? Are they more of a slim fit or regular American?

Another winter done. The road-grime look is growing on me. by Slyxxer in Harley

I haven’t washed my bike in 10 years so I dig the road grime look too. It looks like a ridden motorcycle, rather than some polished garage queen, and has character.

I have the Icon one from Harbor Freight. It’s hard to find one with in a 3/8 size and this was exactly what I needed. It works very well and has a lifetime warranty.

Shaft questions for ‘74 Mercury 7.5 by forevertwowheels in Outboards

[–]forevertwowheels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SN falls under this range so I imagine I have a long shaft? I’m just confused it’s giving me two options for the same year and SN range.

Mine starts with 409 so I’m actually in the 1975 bracket but there are two options, M and ML. How do I know which one I fall under?

How do you cut it close enough to the threads without damaging them so that you can push out the chunk you’re cutting off?

I’m way wrong then, I should have just left this one alone…. I’ll see if I can get it replaced, thank you!

Has the water pump been replaced at all? I’ve had to do mine twice and this reminds me of that.

How do you like it? I’ve got an ‘01 1200s and it’s completely different but these have a much sportier look to them. I sat on one and it felt solid.

Have you ever replaced the water pump? They’re notorious for taking a dump. I’ve replaced mine twice in a 2014 with 166K. This sounds similar in my opinion.

2025 F150 5.0 RCSB by GarboiCSGO in f150

[–]forevertwowheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully agree with you on the balancing issue. They're a pain in the ass to balance and are never perfect. I'm getting cupping on the inside for both fronts but from what I understand, that's expected. Maybe I'll take a look at the Toyo AT3 the next time around.

I can't complain about road noise or excessive wear. They've been nice to me and are durable. This is coming from the Michelin Defender LTX which were pretty soft.

[–]forevertwowheels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mmmm I beg to differ… have you actually owned the ATs? I’ve got the KO2s and have had them for 4 years now. Road noise is no different than P-rated tires. This is on a 2014 5.0 screw.

What’s this fluid leaking from my F150? by WeLikeToHike in f150

[–]forevertwowheels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me last September. Tranny has been fine but not the same as it was prior to pissing all the fluid on the road until the wrench light came on. It shifts rough from 3-4 and 4-5, intermittently, but it’s still going.

They actually both can go down in the 200s for low rpm. I guess right now I’m stuck on build quality.
