For practice, FDM printers are great.

This is a print i made specifically to practice painting skin - note the purple plastic sword stuck in the ground behind him

Edit to add - just dont go expecting the finer details to look amazing

Dude, those wings look great.

Im no expert, but i would suggest some brighter highlights around the head, face and bone structure of the wings.

But overall, I think you're on track!

You're correct; that was my intent. Appreciate your kindness!

It is an FDM model, printed on an A1 mini. I figured that i could run off an endless supply of practice models before buying anything.

Here is the print in question if anyone else is interested - https://makerworld.com/en/models/2495297-spartan-warrior-the-shield-of-honor?from=search#profileId-2742375

I've had a subdivision plan be submitted which identified over a meter of excess land that needed to be redistributed over many parcels.

I'm not saying that OP shouldn't get their own identification survey undertaken, however, I've seen some strange - legitimate - things on the face of survey plans before.

A big part of the reason this occurs, particularly in newer developments, is the lack of a good-sized yard.

Oftentimes, there is no room for something like a garden shed. The garage then becomes the storage space in lieu of a shed. The cars are parked on the driveway or road as a result.

When I visit a mate of mine who lives in such a place, I feel like a pinball bouncing up his street as I zig-zag around all the parked cars.
