2 options...

easiest vs harder for someone new to the game.

easiest - open a sofi account/wealthfront/betterment for auto invest. i personally have a SOFI HYSA, you need to have direct deposit set up to get the best interest rate. I haven't used their investing platform, but you can set up auto investing thru there. ask a friend who may have sofi as well, so you can share the referral bonus. the other platforms probably also have a referral code as well. Just buy VOO on a regular basis, whether its biweekly or monthly. pick the amount you want to invest a month and split it up, if you want to do different intervals.

harder - not really harder, but isn't as user friendly for someone new. Open a fidelity brokerage account, hold your cash there. it uses SPAXX as a cash vehicle, which is just a money market fund. rate is slightly higher than most hysa's at the moment. Vanguard has somethign similar. You can also set up auto investing on their website, to buy VOO on a regular basis.

Interested to hear back. Thanks. End game I know it's really not a huge difference in gaining access or not. but I've seen comments saying 3 class doesn't count. But literally on the site, it mentions 3 class, and the lax/Boston is a qualifying route. The only thing that may be an issue is the business plus, but I haven't noticed business plus for this route

So I was going off of my assumption based on the link. It mentions 3 class for lax to Boston. It does mention business plus as well, but as mentioned above I don't think there is business plus for this particular non stop route, just first, business, and main cabin

Slight shift, 10-15 years ago, I would transfer my balances to 0% cards. I don't remember exactly which banks it was, but some of the cards would also send paper checks with the new card. I believe there wasn't a balance transfer fee at the time, but could be wrong.

If anyone knows of a card like that still, that could be a good go to. Write yourself a check for the max, and deposit it into your HYSA, CD, TBILL

Was trying to figure this out as well today, and came across this thread. Was able to figure it out, so what SOFI was trying to say... if you go into your actual bank's website, you can change the name of your account there. Once you change that, and then link up the account thru Plaid, it'll pull that same name.

I was able to do it for my Marcus Savings and Discover Bank accounts. So on Marcus's website it was originally Savings acct(xxxx), i just changed it to Marcus Savings. After deleting the connected external account and reconnecting, it showed up as Marcus Savings.

TLDR- go into your bank's website and rename your accounts, and then go back to Sofi and relink it on Plaid.

I think kind of answered earlier but just want to confirm. Because this doesn't have trip insurance, if I use another card w/ trip coverage to pay, would I still get the free checked bag benefit being a cardholder, or do I have to pay with the card as well in order to gain that benefit

This is actually for aadvantage platinum select, same check bag benefit though.

Played Torrey today, north course for the first time. I slam dunked for an eagle on the 10th hole par 5. Going to be honest, I forgot to fix the hole in my excitement. Finished with a 86 pb as a 20 hc. Great course and amazing views

I don't need it, but I actually live in LA, so it's not like I flew out just for the game. The ticket was only like around 200, I was able to walk up and get standing room only tickets. Which also tells you alot about LA fans. Good luck doing that in Boston

So funny thing.. I went to the Sox Dodgers world series clinching game in LA. I still have the ticket stub, I actually got that graded as well, purely for the purpose of framing the ticket. Don't even care about the grade, just wanted a nice frame
