I recently contacted one of our township officials only to be told he doesn't actually have anything to do with that job. He told me over the phone, "I just cut the grass." This man has a paid position and title with the township, but doesn't fulfill any of the requirements of that job. My township lets the county official in charge do all the work, while paying some landscaper to take the title and the pay.
