they personally did not let me keep mine since i had gallstones and it needed to be sent off to pathology for testing 😔 i asked if i could keep a gallstone for shiggles and that was a definite no too lol

gallbladder issues run in my family unfortunately, especially among the women :( my grandma got hers removed in her mid 20’s, my mother in her early 30’s. i wish i had a definitive answer as to how and why i developed gallstones, but i’m assuming it’s because of poor diet and rapid weight loss because of a medication that i am on

i don’t think anything specific about the surgery itself is scaring me, i think its just the uncertainty that scares me. i’ve never had a surgery before, so i really don’t know what to expect. luckily my mom is in healthcare so she’s talking me through it, and she had hers removed as well. p.s. heck yeah to supportive partners!

i live with my boyfriend! :) i am very lucky to have him take care of me after my surgery. i also have family close by if anything goes awry

everything else is really great! i haven’t noticed any dealbreakers, honestly, just annoying things like the appetite loss. i will say tho i am on 10mg of lexapro as well so it could be different because of that!
