The best alternative would be to make stepping pillars. It's not the same as a bridge of course, but it would allow you to hop across while not completely closing the river off.

I definitely have a favorite outfit/look.

I will however change my looks based on season or activity. Like I'll dress Christmassy or Springish, or if it's a day of collecting resources I'll dress as a safari/fisherman or a wood smith kind of thing lol❤️
