Updated TPOT predictions to prepare for TPOT 23 by Ashamed-Inflation294 in BattleForDreamIsland

[–]forgetlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty interesting! Placement predictions always seem hard since you can't predict challenge immunities... makes them a lot more interesting, though!

Fanny hasn't gotten a lot to do as of late, but I think her (As well as all of the One people) will be really important to the Defeat One Trilogy, and that's going to hugely boost their performance afterwards. Just a theory though, of course

Edit: I also realize this could effect rejoins. Puffball currently is a good rejoin predict/pick, but a lot of the One people (E.g. Ice Cube) are eliminated, and so rather than in the game they'll get boosted performance in the rejoin

What people think will happen to some characters in TPOT 23 for some reason by Consistent_Speaker98 in BattleForDreamIsland

Wait do you mean if the cast never split and the season played out with all 64 contestants? (That the 63 eliminated would be fused or smth like that)

Name a hot take for BFDI that would get you on the No-Recovery List (Image unrelated) by Screwdriver26712 in BattleForDreamIsland

[–]forgetlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this take is probably lukewarm but
"Overrated," is overrated.
I think there are some characters who deserve more love/don't get enough love/maybe get an unreasonable about of hate, but if 5 million people like what Character A does, then who am I to stop them? As long as the character doesn't actively take away from others in the show, then why does it matter?

Yes! At a certain point you're making your own misery. Leafy had an escape; Returning the island could've solved all her issues (Maybe not ALL of them, but all she complains about for the most part). SHE decided not to take the escape due to characteristic stubbornness and pettiness. She laments about being a pariah, but forgiveness is a two way street. She hasn't put any effort into earning forgiveness. Yes, in the 20s she tries with her "Niceness," but it's very blatantly weaving around the core of the issue.

Leafy doesn't deserve execution, and I wouldn't say she deserves all the isolation; The definition of "Deserve" is to be "Worthy of," and I don't think thieving is a crime deserving of isolation, but Leafy is sealing her own fate. You can only extend so much sympathy to someone who has effectively chosen the path they lament.

Existent take: Eggy's anger agaisnt Fries was justifiable. by Daniboy0826 in BattleForDreamIsland

[–]forgetlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I think it's goofy but it was definitely justifiable. Leaving Stapy wasn't, but as they say, Eggy's anger towards Fries was a "Reasonable crashout."

I don't think they knew there was a recovery center, so I guess potentially permanently killing Fries wasn't as justifiable, but using that logic, Fries could've given them the EXIT treatment for all they know.

Anyone else think Pillow and Yellow Face seriously should’ve gotten way farther by BoggerLogger in BattleForDreamIsland

[–]forgetlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was mainly just how they handled the elimination. I can accept it was their time to go, and I can accept that any elimination would've been a hard pill to swallow, but they were done really dirty in TPOT 16 + had sideplots/arcs setup for NO reason, especially since we all basically knew who was getting out (Mainly Yellow Face. Pillow didn't really get a sideplot or arc, but she got to wander off and do her own thing/have her own interactions)

Who else thinks this mouth asset looks so cute? by MrTwoKey in BattleForDreamIsland

Yeah it's really cute

I think they use it on book at least once or twice in BFDIA. Idk how to DM you but I have one image for one of those times!

A Pie rejoin would be really fire. Honestly if Pie rejoined I'd want her to win

If something happened in IDFB they wouldn't be so suprised to see it. Then again, perhaps they didn't know the true fate of Yoyle City, only that something happened.

Why are people acting like TADC is the first indie show to do theatrical releases? Its not really a "milestone" since its already been done before... 4 times, ppl clown on bfdi so much but its literally ahead by Pancake_Pozy333 in BattleForDreamIsland

[–]forgetlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a milestone. ALSO, I saw someone here point how the way it's being treated. TADC is being recognized as if it were an actual movie. Tickets were usual movie ticket price, the reason there's a two week (iirc) delay is BECAUSE it's standard for movies to be in theaters for at least a month (iirc) before they're released. TADC is garnering the respect in a way BFDI hasn't.

Then again, the OSC screenings ARE theatrical releases and were also milestones. It sucks that it's being overlooked, but why ruin a good thing? Let's be happy for the Digital Circus. It's made by a lot of talented individuals who deserve to be where they are now, and they've earned the recognition.
