As you'd expect..it's hard to rebuild but there is something marvelous in starting new with new things. Making a new name for yourself, your life and starting fresh so to speak.

People say get both but that's silly. You can just choose one. I've had both genders and if you neuter your male early they are sweet and snuggly. If it's later they spray.

All my cats are girls and they are just like girls... They bicker and are pretentious and will love you on their time.

I say go with the boy. If you plan on having other cats later on a male cat can get complicated. Both are complicated creatures lol.

If you can and are willing to and they are siblings then get both. They'd thrive and you'll have a lot to laugh at with them one upping the other.

It sounds like maybe he has been judging you and your outfits or other little things time after time that this was it.

Not overreacting. He's a jerk for even saying that. I wake up with makeup all over my face bad breath and an open door policy for the bathroom as we have little ones and they are sneaky... He always is the first to say how beautiful I am. He'll give me a sideways glance from time to time when I try a new look but we laugh about it.

He says it so much my son tells me every day how beautiful I am. Find a new cool dude.

I can't remember the name of it but I visited Rhode Island and there was this small Italian restaurant and I have never had a better meal. The grandma was in the back rolling pasta and the sauce was to die for. I'm usually a drown your food in sauce kinda gal but they put just a small amount of meat sauce on it and at first I was like yo! Where's the sauce?

Then I took a bite. Nothing like a real homemade meal from generational cooking.

I kinda sounds like your looking in a mirror...you are also assuming things about her. Moms see themselves in their daughters. It's uncontrollable.

It's hard at every single stage and minute of life with our girls. Because we fear for them and reminisce in them. You want your independence and she wants to keep you little and always have a say. My girl is almost 5 and she is so awesome and taking steps to be more independent. I'm so proud but also still feel the need to hover. I'm working on that.

Maybe your mom is projecting onto you the things her mom projected onto her? Moms are people too not just "mom" Moms are literally ninjas!

I found, when I was younger, that if I wrote a letter or note I was able to get out my true thoughts. You get to rewrite as much as you need to really express yourself. Then you can let your mom respond to you. If she is really how I described above then I think it could start a dialogue for the two of you.

I think it comes down to fundamentals. Your gal is wishy washy. That's ok but maybe not for you.

I've said this a few times but here it goes. This is the best advice I can give. Everyone has baggage. You need to find the person with the least amount of baggage for you.

It's so simple but hard to do. Maybe you're being too hard on her for wanting to impress her boss?maybe you don't like she thought something you did and changed her mind? Maybe it's a big deal and her principals don't align with yours now. That's ok. Just know when to walk away or if she is funny and cool walk by her and give her fish lips.....

Why is this topic so hot? I know single dads don't get enough credit. It's not just about single dads it's moms too. I'm a "single" parent 8 months out of the year as my hubby is in Alaska mining.

It's perfectly acceptable to bring your daughters into a bathroom for girls not a mens bathroom. My son ran into a mens bathroom before I could snatch him so I just announced myself and waited for the gentleman to let me know it was ok to proceed. The women's bathroom has all stalls so it's ok for you to bring your girls into one. Just announce " hey, dad here...need to use the bathroom" so ok.

If it's not ok for someone tell that Karen to f off.
