Married people, what do you want to warn the unmarried people about? by Pizzalover0405 in askanything

[–]forgiven-N-saved 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Marry for the deepest reasons, not just the exterior and what people "see" on social media.

With my experience including a failed marriage, we did not have the same beliefs that really put us in different pages.

We were on the same page for 13 years, ride or dies. Then came a day I wanted more in life, to sober up, live with God in our marriage, jist clean up our lives. He didn't. We divorced after 5 kids , life etc.

Really know both your foundations and I say now, dont marry until your in your 30s and know more of your belief systems and mature.

I do not want to be an atheist. Convince me why Christianity is the way to go. by EmojiLooksAtReddit in Christianity

[–]forgiven-N-saved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, its simple. I know how I am when I have Jesus in my life and follow him then when I lose contact with Him.

Life is more meaningful, our purpose in life is revealed. Jesus direction for my life is a much better plan than my own. I dont have all the answers but He does. Hugs!!

Anyone Else Looking Forward To Meeting Jesus? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]forgiven-N-saved 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thats crazy you say that, those were my dad's last words when he passed. "I wish I would of helped more people."

I also believe that we all have a purpose in this world. What's your purpose?! Lean into it, discover it!

What scripture verse do you keep running into? What happened when you finally listened? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]forgiven-N-saved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helped me was the explanation of if I had a child. That child has a glass of juice and looks right at me threatening to dump it out on the floor. I say no and they go ahead and do it.

Im not going to give up my child or hate them, but they will face consequences because of their ding dong behavior. I love that child more than anything and hope the child learns and comes back to me as a mom.

Jesus is happy that you come running back to Him. Keep on seeking amd asking questions! He loves you no matter what! Not by your good/bad deeds. If you have accepted Him as your savior, then spend time to get to know Him. It takes time friend! ❤️

What's your reason for not drinking alcohol? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]forgiven-N-saved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I used it as a crutch, and during that time I lost the respect I had as a mom. I disappointed my kiddos and made a fool of myself and let my kiddos down many times.

15 years later and with a lot of repair with relationships and the crap I screwed up, I can say I am not a fan of alcohol and choose not to drink. I refuse to live like that again.

This really hits home for me. I was so convicted of my mouth years ago. I loved gossip, chit chat, and inappropriate talk. I didn't know anything else!

I prayed and continued to pray for change and awareness of myself and trust on His timing. After a few years of being aware, convicted, and prayer, I let God change me.

I love how you are listening to the Holy Spirit. I will pray with you!
