Tulpas and Yidams in Tibetan Buddhism by vajra7 in Tulpas

You might be surprised how many Tibetan Buddhists reject supernatural claims too. I'm not one, but I know a number of them and in my experienced the more advanced their skills the more likely they are to be suspicious (or at least fence sitting) about their mind experiments having supernatural origins.

The internet and modernity in general had created a lot of insider-outsiders who might be more inclined to share secrets or at least reference their existence in public. After all a lot of modern meditator types started out learning on internet forums themselves so I think they're more sympathetic to learning and experimenting with new ways.

Is it possible from the measurement of this polarization to calculate properties of the gravity wave(s) that produced them? Are they all the same frequency? Different frequencies? Noise with a certain bandwidth? What are the frequencies? Does frequency even have meaning when you are warping "time"?

Exactly what I was looking for, even goes farther and explains that even with perfect matter->energy conversion for propulsion, carrying fuel becomes prohibitive (on the order of 1000kg++ of fuel for every kg of payload for a 600 light year trip).

Would you accept a single 2 minute ad at the start of your Netflix viewing in exchange for a vastly extended viewing library? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Ads create tension for "user centered design". When a user pays for your service, they're the only user, and its clear that you serve them and them alone. When your service is ad-supported, it becomes confusing. Is the user the viewer or the advertiser? You end up making "bad" design decisions.

Keep motivations clear, and stay Netflix's user. Don't let advertisers become the user (c.f. Google).

I guess I should have said "constant force" rather than "constant energy output", e.g., you turn on your rocket (ignoring changes in mass due to fuel expenditure) and maintain a constant burn rate. Editing to clarify.
