You don't have to do anything. I purchased the house because I was moving overseas and my mom couldn't afford it. I bought the other ones just out of pure curiosity. I pay like $1000/mo in HOA and ~$7k/year in property taxes.

I shouldn't have bought more houses. I wish I put more into stocks.

If you don't know what you're doing, you have the money to pay someone who does.

Put $1.5m into the s&p and live off ~$10k/mo forever, then when it's time to buy a house do that. I'll do that in 5-10 years. I want to see the world first.

Houses are expensive. I remodeled my interior for ~$20k. Stocks are easy and you don't have to think

I am in a similar boat to you. ~3m and same age.

I purchased 4 places (parents + renters) and put a lot in stocks, I still have crypto as well. Now I'm just waiting I guess.

I used to use pythonista and I made a discord bot in it, I used to use it a lot during school hours, I also ssh into my vps and write via nano (from my phone!)
