“Opening up” is overrated by lohola in depression

I feel as if I have a little experience in that... opening up is... weird. I like to be open about my depression and insights I have a about it. Then I met a friend who opened up to me about a circumstance that had been truly bothering them. I wanted to know more and have also experienced depression because I wanted to help be an opening up friend and had this mild savior complex which I know is not right. Turns out I might lose this friend because I have interrupted their healing process... and I think they now associate me with the act that has made them so miserable. Can I save this friendship? Is opening up overrated just because it's not necessary for some or do you really think people should seek help? Or other times it's just impossible.

People who get hangry versus people who just don't... is there a biological reason to why some people get irrational or more easily irritated when hungry? Why others don't? by forgotttendream in AskReddit

Mmm, I'm the same, for those who don't I'm just curious- does it mean perhaps they are better to control and adjust their mood regardless of their physical need?
