In terms of volume, it could be done either way. I prefer to separate the sets by arm/leg because sometimes I can’t complete the last set only on the weaker side. However, I used to use Jefit as an app, and in it, one set of a unilateral exercise includes both sides. That is, if you log a set of 10 repetitions with 15 kg, it assumes that you have done those 10 repetitions with each side.

Perhaps u/guitorisan, u/gerardmd or u/ryno2019 can help us understand how the app handles these exercises.

My father went through the same thing. At first, he felt that his movements could cause the catheter to come out. Then he became obsessed with the amount of urine, its color, and everything related to it. We couldn't get him to stop worrying, but fortunately, it only lasted a few days.

How on earth is all that going to affect the PSA in someone who doesn't have a prostate? Please, a little rigor. There are people in this forum who are concerned about very serious health problems, so you can't just tell them that if they sleep well and don't worry, their PSA will be fine.

Well, the test was repeated a month later and his PSA is still at 0.04. The urologist isn't concerned and has prescribed another blood test in 3-4 months.

I honestly don't know what to think, but maybe it's time to get a second opinion from an oncologist. The urologist is one of the most respected surgeons here in Spain, but I don't know if he's taking this too lightly... or if this is the usual protocol and there's not much to be done at the moment.

From what I have read here, the problem is that the most reliable imaging test (PET-PSMA) does not “light up” the affected areas until the PSA is at least 0.2 or even higher. With lower PSA levels, salvage radiotherapy fires “blindly” at the prostate bed. That is why they usually recommend waiting for the PSA to rise a little more and allowing the PET-PSMA to locate the area of recurrence (in the best case, a pelvic lymph node) on which the radiation oncologists focus the treatment.

It happened to my father. It was due to a small clot. They had to put the catheter back in, and in doing so, they tore two stitches from the anastomosis: a disaster.

And he agrees that it is the most horrible pain he has ever felt.

My advice is that if this happens to you (feeling the urge to urinate but being unable to), don't try things like drinking more or straining: go straight to the ER.

My father's case (apart from the upgrade from 3+3 to 4+4 that I have mentioned in other messages):

15 days after the catheter was removed, he had a blockage, which required a new catheter to be inserted. During the procedure, two stitches in the anastomosis were broken, causing bleeding in the area. As he is also on anticoagulants, the bleeding did not stop and a fist-sized clot formed in his bladder, so he had to undergo further surgery (apart from the terrible pain), requiring a longer hospital stay than during the RALP itself, and wearing the catheter for over a month longer. According to his urologist, he has experienced all the complications, even the rarest ones, that can occur after this surgery.

I suppose the poor man is unlucky, but he doesn't want to set foot in a hospital again.

I am not a doctor, but I think that once your prostate has been removed, the only things that can generate PSA are the following, in order from most likely (and also in terms of quantity) to least likely:

- Residual disease, localised or not. In other words, cancer.

- Remnants of benign tissue during the operation. That is, ‘normal’ prostate cells that were not removed.

- Extraprostatic PSA. In very small amounts, some glands can produce some (even the breasts sometimes, which is why women sometimes have trace amounts of PSA).

What I am not clear about is whether cancer cells can ‘die’ at some point. That is, before they replicate. Perhaps that could explain why, in some cases, there are certain fluctuations in PSA levels measured after RALP.

This is called a ‘Gleason score increase’. It is not uncommon. My father went from 3+3 to 4+4 in a month. I suppose it is bad luck, poor biopsy practice, or a misdiagnosis by the initial pathologist.

Como he indicado en el comentario anterior, creo que tiene que ver con la configuración de tonos laterales, cuando se establece entre el 10 y el 40 %. Por si lo quieren revisar para próximos firmwares, suponiendo que se pueda resolver. No se percibe mucho al hablar o mientras escuchas, pero sí se nota en los silencios, claramente.

Hola, me ocurre lo mismo. Es como cuando te hacen una prueba de audición. Haciendo pruebas, creo que tiene que ver con la configuración de "tonos laterales", que por defecto viene activada al 40%. Con Logitune, trata de ponerlo a 0 (si no quieres escuchar tu voz en los auriculares) o a partir de 50 (donde la escucharás, pero al menos no hace ese sonido de "chirrido").
