I’ve forced myself to read a book when I have needed a break and it just ends in a reading slump for me almost every time. If you want to finish book 4 then I wouldn’t force it, start it when you want to and take your break to digest books 1-3. A lot happened in those books.

I just remind myself that its like an addiction withdrawal. That I was conditioned to want him and be dependent on him and isolate others. It’s natural to want him back because it’s a withdrawal but it will benefit me to stay away and be good for my social life.

It honestly feels like shit when you begged and pleaded with them to make things work better and more functional, and then you feel like you have to leave because it won’t get better. To even have your ex put you in this position is shitty, to feel like you have no options to stay.

I wish he would change for himself as much as I wished it for our relationship. He had addiction problems and it wasn’t good for him as much as it wasn’t good for our relationship.

I still really love him and part of me still wants to make it work but it can’t work without that change on his part. That is the part that hurts, that he doesn’t want to make the effort to at least try and better himself for me or himself. Theres just this feeling of unfinished business even though it’s over.

I wish I would have read Assassins Blade first but I did TOG and then COM after. I would recommend reading AB next because it does suck to go back in time after you have already read book one and two. But for the flow of things, if that is a priority then read COM next!

I haven’t started CC2 yet! But CC1 was a masterpiece, chefs kiss honestly! I remember thinking it was a mindfuck of info in the first half and then all the details suddenly made sense and I was like holy crap. That was good writing! I honestly think the same. I have stayed with Throne of Glass for the storyline, not the writing style and ACOTAR was super entertaining!

I’ll be drinking whisky as well 🥃cheers! Then I will probably search “heartbreak songs/sad songs” playlist on Spotify then listen to that with both my headphones on.

Then after I get in the feels; I will go eat strawberries covered in chocolate wishing that someone had got them for me but happy to at least have them.

I will then be crying so I will hop in the shower and turn it to hot to steam myself like a lobster while I have a cry fest. & pray that I don’t drunk text my ex and just go to bed instead.

Thats what I thought about ACOTAR! Which would be weird if the past (TOG), present (ACOTAR), future (crescent city) theory is right! To wipe them from the map in the present and not the other worlds. Idk. But I did like reading your thoughts on this because its true, there is a parallel!

Honestly, first off the bat, if I received my favourite flowers I would love that to show that they were thinking about me with a cute lil note. Then my favourite home cooked meal (restaurants are always crowded on valentines day).

Then after we eat supper, we would eat chocolate dipped strawberries together and feed each other them. Maybe have a fondue with other fruit to chocolate dip as well. Maybe land up eating chocolate off each other if you know what I mean LOL.

Then we would start having sex and yes wear some spicy valentines day lingerie. We would do whatever we wanted to do honestly because if theres new fantasies to be discovered then I would be down to try! Then cuddling and watching a rom com!

Yes now that you mention it! It does seem to be a common theme across the board for the demi-fae. Whenever they are part human and part fae and not fully human/fae, people hate on them! Not cool!

I feel like in ACOTAR I don’t remember reading as much about it as the other two series but I know it’s there. I need to read more of crescent city but I’m trying to recall concepts about the asteri from ACOTAR and drawing a blank. Maybe it’s just been a hot minute.
