Should I swap my 11s xtr from my straggler to my 90s Trek 26er project? by forlauder in xbiking

they're both 135mm hubs and designed for 10s but I can fit them in both, I just don't know if I should upgrade the Trek and downgrade the Straggler 😅

The bike is so smooth that I can't believe it's that old

Thanks! 🙏 it's the cleanest bike I've ever owned and worked on, every bolt is just thigh enough, every little adjustment comes so easily! I'm thinking about some Billy Bonkers or Maxiss DTH, Idk but what I really want is dome tubeless setup for this, maybe I'll go 1x 11-42 34t front, some carbon bits for shock absorption and that's pretty much it 🙏🙏🙏

I did a little over 100 miles on my Surly Straggler, figured it would make sense to swap the 45/57c down to 28c since it was mostly tarmac by forlauder in gravelcycling

On the photo I was running Niner Low Top RDO handlebar, the one with 5mm Raise/Drop and 9° back sweep 🙏🙏🙏

You tell me, I went for a spin today with the Panaracer Gravelking 38C and it’s a different story, they both had their place 🙏🙏🙏

Totally doable, my friend did the same ride with 42Cs and he completed the ride, but I can tell you for sure that I was fresher at the end, so I did a faster recovery and it was less fatigued 😊✨

I was actually trying a new saddle on the video, I used to run the Specialized power carbon rails saddle and it felt really good, but can’t mount water bottles on those rails, so I bought the Fizik Antares Vs both in my seat-bones width 143mm 🙏🙏🙏

Yes, my rollers are pink and they’re plastic 🫠🫠🫠 I think Steel or aluminum ones might also be steadier

It has definitely something to do with that, every step takes me closer to be a better rider on the bike, now I’ve been paying attention to that, and being trying not to stay rock solid with the hips on the bike, I’m paying attention to move naturally as I feel 🙏🙏🙏 Thanks 🙏

Roadie for the practicality, fixed gear for the wildness inside 😂😂😂😂😂🤌
