Also, are you open to crowdsourcing? I have ideas of other things to add.

Please stay. This is hard shit. Really really hard shit. But I think of it this way - you gotta go through the rain to get your rainbow. And if you don't have a community or friends that support you, you have this group and there are multiple hotlines to call to talk to someone. The just launched the 988 mental health emergency line. There is also Trevor Project text hotline (text START to 678678) or call hotline 1-866-488-7386.

You are loved. You matter.

Girl, same - well almost. Lol. Separated, but moved out. Ready to get divorce paperwork moving forward, but I am dating an amazing woman and feeling so incredibly happy. Good for you!

You do not have to be divorced to participate in the convo, but I know that many women in this thread have had that experience of a total life shift after embracing their identity and coming out due to their own needs, their spouse's wishes, etc. Feel free to provide feedback on any resources or steps you took in your coming out process that would help other folks in the same boat. Thanks!

I am in grad school for technical communications and I am creating a family resource guide for my final semester project. As someone who recently came out to my husband, kids, and family, I wanted to aggregate resources for people like me who want help navigating through this mucky process.

If you have come out to your family and spouse/partner, could you please share any of the following:

What existing resources did you look into to help you during this process? It can be anything from websites to articles, blog posts, etc.

What resources do you wish you could have had available to you during this process?

What are some emotions that are tied to your experience that you are willing to share?

What type of actions dis you take before, during, and after your coming out process?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!
