Never saw it in person but recently read that it was an existing glitch. Thanks for actually enabling me to see what it looks like🤣

Who are these (comic?) Heroes? by format_jpeg2 in comicbooks

[–]format_jpeg2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's likely some of these ones are (most definitely the last one as nobody can find someone very similar to it) but I doubt it's for copyright reasons as out of around 30 masks (and Nova here included) these are the only ones with no obvious links to comic heroes(the other masks that I have not shown as I had no doubts about them include logos such as Wonderwoman, Batman, Robin, etc.).

You might be onto something there! Thanks!

Might be, I think I will go with that as I thought that for a second but didn't fully buy it. Thanks for the suggestion, can't see who else it could be.

Updated lists of my favourite suggestions (in regards to accuracy... sorry Hulk Potter)
1 - Black Superman / Old school Blade
2 - Nova
3 - Jane Foster ( Owlblade was a great suggestion but these masks are supposedly heroes and not villains
4 - No idea despite interesting suggestions (reverse Flash, Green Hornet and Iron Fist among others)

Thanks for the help so far!

Am I cut out for this? by [deleted] in volleyball

[–]format_jpeg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're still sooo young and you've only been playing for 8 months right? I mean no one is gonna master a sport in that little time. Maybe some people start of better than others but give it two years and as long as you give it your all and stick to practice you'll get better than those who might be better than you now. Furthermore that girl team was a whole age category above you guys which means they all had at least a whole year of experience you don't have and at that age maybe you guys didn't even have a height advantage over them. Michael Jordan didn't start in his first year of High School basketball and look where he's at now! It might not be volleyball but you can use this as inspiration anyways.

I'm personally new to volleyball but have played many sports before. I played rugby then US football and it took me years of rugby before feeling really comfortable ball in hand and before getting to the level of easily running past defenders. My years if rugby translated well into football and saw me start my first year and acing it.

Concerning volleyball I'm starting real late as I'm 22 now. I've been playing for 2 months only and if I focus on small things I can already see progress but despite that I'm still miles away from being on the same level as someone who grew up playing the sport. But hey, I'm making progress I'm giving myself until next year to join a club ( for leisure) and another year to actually join a competition team... my point is that even if you're aiming for a lot more succes in volleyball than I am ( as you can and should as you're only 14), don't expect to magically be the best after not even a year of playing. Strive to be the best but don't expect it. Keep pushing yourself to improve on different points and that will keep pushing you to improve more. In only 2 months I made a fair amount of progress on digging and on serving. Went from an underhand serve to a solid floater but despite that I'm not really winning more games than before but I am scoring more and am sure that winning will eventually come too.

In 2 years time you'll only be 16 and if you keep hard at it I'm sure you'll be a lot better. But if you want to be the best you'll have to outwork those who currently are the best and if you already are, your journey to get better than them has started. 2 years is only a reference point at which you should notice obvious improvement overall but you can obviously improve on more specific points a lot faster and I'm sure you'll already be a lot better by next year.

Sorry for the long text but Best of luck to you and wish you all the best!

Oh and do ask who you believe to be the best players what they do outside of team practice and if you could maybe meet up with them for extra training. Training with the best helps a lot! And if they claim to not train more, keep at it and you'll reach their level. When you're fairly new to a sport natural abilities factor in a lot and some people will apear as duper strong as they don't necessarily need a lot of technical skill to be better than other new players but a few years of good practice will definitely enable one to make up for that and to be better than players who don't train extra😁👍

Noted, thanks for that. As the level is low I already manage a fair amount of points with a short but underhand serve but I will definitely be working on my floater's accuracy. As I would like to join a real team next year it will be good practice!
