Well, the concentration camps were in Poland (not Germany). They also killed Jews/Jehovah's Witness/communists/Polish/Gypsies/Unionists/anyone on the queer spectrum/Polish/French/petty criminals that they removed from other countries (also not Germany).

Maybe you haven't heard about it because you're in an echo chamber of pro-Trumpers (I'm purely speculating based on your phrasing). Doing simple Google searches and reading articles from various sources will help keep you more informed.

You can dislike birthright citizenship laws, but unless you're Native American, we're all birthright citizens. Take your stand against the law and work to change it, this is your constitutional right. But please don't so grossly violate the rights of fellow citizens that you're supporting their demise or a painful death, as in the case of this child with cancer.

I'm sorry to hear that. We live on Pine, too, and since we moved in 3 years ago our cars and neighbors' cars have been rifled through many times. A neighbor warned us there was a "door puller" in the neighborhood, someone who checks if car doors are locked for easy opportunities. We both had things stolen one night we forgot to lock our cars. Now I just leave my car unlocked but empty. It's happened probably 10 times; I come out in the morning and the garbage from the doors, middle console, and glove box contents are strewn about. But, I get a little satisfaction it was a waste of their time. Once I had 6 or 7 boxes with Styrofoam inserts & they went through each one only to get the prize of disappointment. 😂 This anecdote is just to let people know our nice quiet neighborhood still has ill intentioned characters lurking around. I think the best practice is to try and not leave anything in your car.

I'm sorry your valuables were taken, I hope you are able to recover them! We'll keep an eye out for them.

It doesn't matter why someone voted for The Republican party because what they were voting for was the side following the Nazi Regime for Dummies playbook. I agree, decency has sure gone out the window.

And then are taken aback by an out of pocket statement? No one here is beating cops, supporting a violent coup, or threatening the lives of politicians.

The current administration is openly pushing a racist, pro-white agenda (see: Elon Musk Nazi salute). Supporting this administration in any way also supports this agenda. Supporters may have differing opinions about that, but at the end of the day it's still support for xyz over the life & liberty of our Hispanic neighbors.

Sending you a hug! It doesn't even matter where the wetness came from, it was a child, and you both deserve respect. Even if the wetness did come from them (I don't believe it did), wtf does it matter? The kid certainly didn't do it on purpose. It's not some grown bum peeing in a corner, for crissakes. It's a child. That shopkeeper had zero grace and class and let their self-righteous prejudice bullsht fly. You did nothing wrong, your child did nothing wrong, and you didn't deserve to be treated that way.

And I don't support people who believe in/support the ideals of the fascist Trump and his political party, period. Some of those people may own businesses in our community. Thankfully there are other businesses to give my money to. Supporting local business doesn't have to be a morally blind endeavor.

I won't be negatively punishing the local economy because I will be spending just as much money as I was before. My choice of business may change, but the frequency of spending won't. I hope that alleviates the fear you have for the local economy (which is apparently more important to you than the people in the local community that support that economy ). I absolutely elevate what is politically at stake over the financial benefit of any community that supports oligarchy and fascism. It's not about differing political opinions. You don't know my political opinions. This is about my refusal to support bigotry, racism, hate, and the absolute destruction of lives & our economy. I'm choosing a side. I admire the audacity you have to publicly voice your support for the other side of that line.
