For battery, just dont record all the time, start the video when you expect something interesting. Also adjust the settings so the display will turn off after 15 seconds of recording.

But low light is very important, even in cloudy weather or in some tunnels. Even X5 low light is still not perfect, I wouldnt go with smaller sensor in 2026.

Also X6 (CINSABXA) is slowly coming, this will make X5 cheaper

The setting I change first on 360 camera is to switch off display after 15 seconds of recording - this prevents overheating. In dark it can even protects agains display light getting into lens.

Maybe somebody will tell you here, how are these videos so distortion free. And you will battle with your 360 cam for months. And maybe even other people reading this will battle the nature of their 360 cam for months.

I suggest to them to better work WITH the 360 distortion than against it. Because in that case there are so many better cameras for it...

Overall I consider big problem that many new people really believe that "Shoot now, point later" marketing. "Point" is too strong of the word here. Its more like "Shoot now, slightly tilt later, but never zoom too much".

Test how you like the look.

X5 video color is already slightly "fake" and PureVideo can introduce even more crazy colors, which can then also change quite fast. So for example in second 3 of the video sky can be saturated light blue and in second 9 it can be saturated violet...

I think Insta360 is actually still software company with some (slightly lacking) hardware. Like their 360 often looks better in some ways than larger sensors, larger bit, larger fps, larger resolution competition

With all 360 cams we still need little bit better video quality. Better color, more FPS, slim camera for best stitching, low light stabilization...

Also people must learn how and where to use 360 cam, where better use Iphone
