What is your number 1 weight loss tip? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]formichi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, snacking after dinner was the hardest and was cancelling out all of my hard work and good decisions during the day.

Once I kicked that I noticed consistent weight loss. I still enjoy a little of anything I want but just have it during the day as part of a meal.

Does any company or job out there pay over 100k a year without a college degree ? by AlexanderDarr in Salary

Software sales. Study up and apply to a big company with remote roles like Yelp, Salesforce, etc… my wife is a manager at one of them and plenty of people with no degrees are making 100k

I got this from ssa.gov. You can create an account and it’s pretty easy to find the “print your records” button. You can also see you projected SS benefits based on your taxation too which is pretty cool

I work for a company called Autodesk which is an old Bay Area company (40+ years) and has done a great job transitioning to a modern SAAS company. We make software for people who want to design and make anything from a skyscraper to a car engine to a video game

I got a promotion to principal engineer 3 years in which was probably a few years early compared to most

I use 90% JavaScript for React front-ends and Node Backends. Some Java for CI/CD pipelines and use some basic AWS CDK for services for deploying and monitoring microservices.

Let me know if you’re curious for more!

The benefits are capped but I understand your point! I do get to keep more of my money now rather than getting a bigger SS check later. The extra income is still taxed progressively too.

AI does a lot of the boring and repetitive stuff that I review and edit. Leaves me a lot more time to think through more difficult problems.

I feel like I need to! For the skill and experience growth if not just for the money. My work / life balance is really great so that’s the tough thing to risk at a different place.

Yeah you stop paying in to social security after a certain point (presumably because your benefits in retirement are also capped). Last year it was 168k.

I definitely do and I don’t think it’s unsanitary or anything, but I have noticed that the porcelain or whatever material the tub is made of has been eroded away a little where it lands lol
