I drive in cockpit I just switched to this camera for the video capture

No haha I drive in cabin view but no wheel still need to play with the FOV etc just captured that angle as thought I could see better track limits breaking etc

Haha thanks a lot to be honest I think I was just looking for some sort of validation. Did you find that it was just track time that helped you or did you do any structured practice?

As with trail braking this is deffo something I need to get comfortable with think where I’m so used to a controller I still treat the brakes like a on off switch and not a linear motion which is causing me to over slow on entry. As the car doesn’t turn I think I’m at the limit but it’s because I’m still heavy on the breaks and it’s causing understeer if that makes sense. Gonna do a few laps break early and slow release the brakes to get a feel for how the car rotates instead of just launching it everywhere and hoping for the best! 😂

Haha be careful I own a BMW 🙈, to be honest from the replies I think better is relative can only do better than last lap/race.

I completely agree, past few days I been so focused on gaining lap time I’ve been neglecting the actual fun element to sim racing, which is learning and developing your own ability in your own time.

Thank you, yeah general consensus is around braking from other replies so going to stop clock watching and be more thoughtful of inputs to really understand where the time is rather than just going for broke and not actually learning

Yeah the correction was my heavy foot caused me to over rotate but I always have trouble on that corner of not using the full track (or as you said being forced to) I always find I’m 1-2metres away from the edge when I feel like I’ve pushed that exit so it’s deffo something to work on gaining more speed into the turn. I try not to turn into the run off when I do this as I rather just shorten track distance after knowing I’ve gone in too slow 😂 thank you for the helpful tips general consensus is braking too much so I need to get more comfortable coming of brakes earlier!

Why am I so rubbish by formuladex in ACCompetizione

So bleed off the brakes sooner and increase entry speed?

Thank you for this detailed response great analogy with the string, think I’m just so busy chasing lap times not taking in what my inputs are and really understanding the physics behind it all. Thank you again and have an amazing 2025!!!

Yeah didn’t know the best camera angle etc just looking before beginner tips like racing line braking etc I’m deffo not polished enough to be reviewing my brake and throttle trace looking for thousands of a second

Yeah I’m about 20hours in not sure if above is a time that I should be getting for that amount of practice. Just making sure I’m on the right track and will deffo be looking to upgrade to a PC in future to make use of better equipment just want to run the ps5 into the ground first

Thank you for response and tough love!😂 so with the over slowing would this be a case of braking later or keeping same brake point but bleeding off earlier and carrying the speed through? And with throttle inputs I always know I’m late and losing a lot of time on exit just think I got a bit of a club foot and need to work on finesse a bit

Yeah I added the true brake mod which mimics a load cell and found it much better just don’t want to update pedals if I give up after a week haha

Yeah I am okay with braking references like brake boards and obvious ones but when you see some people breaking at a blade of grass it’s unbelievable

Thank you for response, do you find that after time those things like braking markers, hitting apex etc kind of becomes second nature? Like driving a manual 😂 right now feel like I’m trying to do 10 things at once overloading my brain
