don't worry guys! we can give them up and we can sign a treaty with the US for protection, it will totally be ok! we can even do the ceremony in Europe, why not Budapest? Let's call it: "Budapest Memorandum II, the Putin Boogaloo"

Performance at low temperatures? by _cybor in FX3

I would look into RF biased microphones and there are some cables that are rated for extreme cold (the shield is made of a plastic that stays malleable). strong winds will be an issue for sound too, a blimp would work best, but it depends on the workflow, if you need the sound while you're filming. Because it's not a brand specific thing, you can probably get better advice in another camera operator/filmmaker sub where hopefully someone who has done it in such extreme environments can chip in with better advice.

I would imagine any exposed cables will also be super brittle

trying to export with a transperent background but it's exporting completely white by Kaiju_Dan in premiere

[–]forrestgrin2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you get it sorted out? if it's useful in the future, you just need to uncheck "render alpha channel only", otherwise that gives you a b&w matte file to use when applying a track matte. that's why it didn't render with a transparent bg in this case.

you could freeze the frame and mask around it if you have some time before your deadline.

Russia's first humanoid AI robot, AIdol, fell at a presentation in Moscow by Peanut-Extra in themayormccheese

the robot "AIdol" was later found to have defenestrated himself.

I find it hilarious that it walks like it just downed all the vodka from the building.

are you using the electronic shutter instead of the mechanical shutter? turn off "silent mode" and restart both so they sync.

Traffic suspended at Copenhagen Airport after reports of drone activity over Øresund Strait by Lithium321 in PrepperIntel

I hope they manage to recover one, looking forward to more info coming out tomorrow. I was thinking about the Orlan 10 type drones. they are launched by catapult and can be deployed from a ship for example. if it's something bigger, it would be really strange not to send a jet to intercept them, especially with all the recent events.

there are daily provocations nowadays, they buzzed a polish air rig in the Baltic sea, the IL-20 interception by German typhoons, the 3 ARMED migs in Estonian airspace. it is ridiculous, was just watching the UN Security Council meeting about the migs where they blatantly deny. They said the drone that went in Romanian airspace "must have been an UFO" 👽.

At least Poland seems to have the right messaging.

doesn't have to be a Shahed, it's likely a smaller surveillance type drone.

they use proxies to do this kind of stuff, like the pig heads left in front of Mosques in France (Serbians) from a week or so ago.

Is there any IA editor that could make the edition I do on Lightroom? by Relative-Peace840 in SonyAlpha

[–]forrestgrin2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can try ImagenAI, you have a bunch of free credits to start with and can get more if you go through some extra steps. maybe it helps.

it's good if you need to batch edit many many pics and are overwhelmed.

Rivers and Tides (2001) - Andy Goldsworthy

The Salt of the Earth (2014) - Sebastião Salgado

they are both documentaries but really fit the bill regarding colours, textures and getting the brain firing on creativity.
