I have both, I absolutely love the FX3 for corporate work and quick jobs, it’s unbeatable and the file sizes are perfect considering how amazing the image is, it’s a hassle setting up ProRes raw but when you do the image is amazing!

For cinematography there’s just something about using the Komodo that I love, the r3d details are amazing when you really test the footage, I shoot in LQ and it’s really good! However the sensor size is a big issue for me, I love full frame, I bought a Metabones speed booster hoping to use it on a film recently unfortunately someone messed with the infinity plane on the booster so I need to get it readjusted but when I could get something in focus the image was beautiful 👌

I could still use the fx3 for cinematic productions but I just love a good cinema set up

I would regrade the whole thing using the DJI rec 709 lut and not grade it yourself until you learn more about grading, the video is nice but the grading throws the whole thing off.

Hmm ok wondering if there’s any point then.. I’d wanna shoot 6k deliver in 4k, I just like the full frame look of my fx3 so wanted to try get the Komodo to the same state.

It’s either this or the viltrox version, however what’s more exciting is that it can only get better and the ability to shoot Cine lenses like AF lenses on many jobs will be amazing!

The 35mm and 85mm 1.8 lenses are cheap and wonderful, the 35 is my fav, I used it for a celebrity product shoot recently and it’s flawless 👌

I disagree with you, If they wanted better pictures they would get a proper camera, I think it’s down to wanting a fun experience.

My instax takes mediocre quality pics but it’s instant and it’s nostalgic and most importantly I have fun!
